Leveling 30-40 FOR THE HORDE! (Warcraft realms)

Part one, Getting from 30-35:
So you have hopefully followed the instructions in the previous guide and gotten your flight paths and quests done like a good lil horde. If you haven’t done those quests, then I recommend peeking in at those areas and seeing if there is anything left. This guide is a general explanation of where to pickup quests. For details on how to complete quests, use www.thotbot.com.

At 30 you are chomping at the bit to level—halfway to 60 and 10 extremely long levels before your mount. Before you can move up, there is some running to do. You need to pick up 4 flight paths to set yourself up for success.

Descolace 30-31: From Stonetalon Mountains go south into Desolace. In the south western corner is a flight path for horde. Now I’ve never personally quested here but if you go to the Kodo graveyard (in the middle of the map) there are some quests to pick up and grind out. This is a really quite area and you could spend a level or 2 without getting ganked. Nice alternative for some of the other places you’ll go during this level range. For now all you care about is your flight path and a quest to talk to Hunter Nessing in Stranglethorn Grove.

Arathi Basin (Hammerfall) 31-33: Get to Undercity. Next to the flight guy is a quest giver to kill some guys at a farm in Arathi. Pick up that quest. Fly to Tarren Mill. Somewhere here is a quest to kill orges in Arathi Basin. Get on the road and head east. Once you enter the Arathi Basin zone veer to the North and you’ll run into a cave full of orges. Kill the orges and then keep heading north to the mountains. Follow the mountains to east to Hammerfall (this is the safest route). Along the way is a crystal to click which gives you a quest to kill some rat like creatures to the east of Hammerfall. Once you get to hammerfall turn in the orge quest and you’ll find there are several kill quests: winterbark trolls, dinosaurs, collecting something from a farm. Pick up these quests and off you go. Let me warn you, the drop rate in Hammefall is really low for collection quests so there is a long bit of grinding. The good news is when you get 40 the first aid quest is right in this city.

Strangelthorn Vale 33-36: Well it is time to learn (if you are on PVP server) all about ganking. Take the blimp from Grom Gol and pick up the flight path. If you don’t have the Booty Bay flight path, get to Ratchet and take the boat to Booty Bay. Check all the buildings for quests: leatherworker wants you to kill crocs and the inn has some money making ideas and needs your help. If you went to shimmering flats then you have a quest to turn in at Booty Bay any way. Pick up your flight path at the top of the inn. Now back to Grom Gol for the questing.

Hang on–you have an elite quest to pick up a tablet in the vile reef? This is actually soloable. Look up the quest on thotbot.com for the location swim down click the tablet and there is a quick bit of exp for you.

Don’t forget to shout out “Anyone for questing?” in this zone because being alone is like being a deer in a forest full of hungry wolves. . .and you will get pulverized quick if you are by yourself. This is a madhouse of alliance and horde running the same quests at the same time competing for kills. If you kill a member of the opposing faction, they will usually gather friends to kill you back—so you find some buddies to return the favor. It can be very distracting.

Head North out of grom gol along the beach til you get to the first troll camp. Turn right and head into the forest til you reach the river. You should see Nessing’s camp to the right. Go there and pick up all the quests except for the book quests (collect pages). Now you should have at least 3 quests to kill trolls (ears, tusks, and necklaces) and 3 quests to kill monsters (raptors, young panthers, young tigers).

Young panthers are south, across the bridge. Young tigers are around nessing’s camp. Take those out first. Turn in the quest. Slightly to the north and west is a plateau with the regular panthers, regular tigers, regular raptors. In addition there are some trolls up here—kill those as you go to get that collection done. Once you’ve killed the animals turn in those quests and get the next set of quests (elder tigers, shadow panthers, lashtail raptors). The elder tigers are west of Nessing’s camp further in from the young tigers and south of the plateau you were on earlier. Kill em and turn it in for the final quest in that series. If you haven’t finished the troll ears, get it done and turn it in and you’ll pick up a quest to kill lashtail raptors. Kill those raptors and turn those quests in for double credit.

You still have a bunch of quests in your log. Look up how to do them and go after it. Thotbot will warn you about the quests that are a waste of time. Focus on kill quests (kill x number of y) rather than collection quest (bring me X number of Y).

Tradeskilling the smart way (World of Warcraft rpg)

By the time I hit 30 on my first character I had really started to enjoy the tradeskills in World of warcraft. It was obvious though, that each tradeskill took a considerably amount of resources to gain access to higher level recipes. The big kicker though, is it didn t require a lot of time, which is where this guide comes in.

In World of warcraft most tradeskills require two professions, one creates items, and the other is used to gather resources for the creation of those items. So lets list out the tradeskills that are used to gather resources for their complementary tradeskills:

Herbalism (for Alchemy)
Skinning (for Leathercrafting)
Mining (for Blacksmithing & Engineering)

The only two we ve left out is Tailoring and Enchanting which do not need complementary skills, they work off drop rates and item collection. Looking at these, I came up with a plan of attack that will allow me to level all of the tradeskills at the same time and very quickly to boot.

Our strategy revolves around selecting two resource-gathering tradeskills for each of your characters you play with. As those characters progress through the game collecting resources with their tradeskills, they send the resources to the appropriate mule. At the appropriate level, each toon will untrain one of their professions and train the trade skill that their gathering skill complements. This will allow extremely rapid development of trade skilling from the resources you ve collected throughout all of your characters.

Which Gathering Tradeskills to Train

While you can choose between herbalism and skinning, you must have mining. The reason you have to choose mining is because you ll need to supply two different characters with resources and with mining, it s a pain already to get resources for mining, so you may as well make it easier on yourself and get as much of it as you possibly can on each character. Then choosing between skinning and herbalism depends on your preference. For less stress I d say skinning because you don t have to keep choosing between find minerals and find herbs as you go through your leveling process. You ll want to have all your bases covered though, so make sure you have at least 1 or 2 characters gathering herbs.

Now that you ve planned your tradeskill selection you ll need to create the characters you ll be playing and start gathering resources.

When to Untrain your Tradeskill

It all depends on your patience and your pack space. Around level 25/30 you ll start seeing problems with pack space on your mules and it may be a good indicator that you should untrain. Optimally, you shouldn t untrain until level 60. Though I don t have that kind of patience myself, but I wouldn t respect until a minimal level 20 on my toons.

The reason why you want to keep your two gathering skills as long as possible before untraining is simple, you want to gather as many resources as you possibly can before starting the complementary tradeskill. I can t tell you how easy it is to level blacksmithing once you ve obtained 500 copper ore and 300 tin ore. That s 150 smithing in an hour. Not only that, but you didn t waste any of your time gathering resources, since your alts did it while you leveled them. You didn t have to grind for ore, or hang around a mountain to farm it just to level your smithing up a few more points. You simply gathered it when it was convenient to your progression through the game. It s all based on efficiency and the value of your time.

What Tradeskills are Important?

I m not going to get into the debate about which tradeskills are more useful, that is beyond the scope of this guide. However, I will tell you which tradeskills make this system work smoother, then you ll be able to gauge what your next step will be.

Tailoring: Tailoring is probably the most useful (and the most efficient to level) out of our tradeskill selection. The reason why it is so efficient to level is that every one of your characters can gather resources for this profession without a gathering skill. Not only that, but finding cloth is so common that people don t have a problem parting with it for nothing. Around 150 Tailoring skill you ll be able to create 10 slot bags, which should be dispatched to all of your mules who are missing bags. Oh and alliance tailors have the Journeyman, Expert and Artisans located in Stormwind.

Enchanting: I like Enchanting because it brings it all together. Enchanting makes sure that there will be no wasted items once you start grinding points on your other tradeskills. Any items you produce through your tradeskills will go directly to your Enchanter for disenchanting. Likewise, any items you may find along your journey that don t sell at the Auction House should go to your Enchanter for disenchanting. While leveling multiple tradeskills at a time, you should be producing a great deal of green items which will all get recycled to boost your Enchanting skill.

Blacksmithing: For the purpose of this guide, think of Blacksmithing as a way to unload pack space, because that ore really fills your inventory/bank up quickly. You ll always end up untraining to Blacksmithing first just to alleviate all the pack space you re gonna fill up with the ore you ll collect from mining. I even went as far as making a second mule dedicated to smith stuff just to prolong my training of blacksmithing, but alas, it too filled up quickly. As you level up through the tiers of armor you ll quickly pass your own level requirement, which means you ll always have armor waiting when you level.

Alchemy: Alchemy will supply your characters with quest items and health/mana potions as they progress through the game. Since Herbs don t take up a great deal of pack space I usually just wait off when it comes to training Alchemy.

Leathercrafting: Leathercrafting is another major pack space unloader. Seeing as though leathers only stack up to 10, and hides up to 5 (most of the time) it becomes rather pack space intensive after about 25 levels. Like Blacksmithing, Leathercrafters can also benefit your alts by giving out armor when it is useful.

Engineering: Though I d pickup Smithing long before engineering, it is a great pack space unloader as well as quest item supplier for certain quests (darkshire, badlands).

So Why Do All This?

Eliminate dependency, prepare for the updates and to help bridge the higher level tradeskills. If you have 250+ on all of the trade skills in the game, you are a one man green/blue item manufacturer. You will have an ease of item creation that no other player in the game can match. You see, when you hit the 250+ recipes a great deal of the recipes require resources from other professions. High level bag creation requires leathers from skinning, high level leathercrafting requires a Salt Shaker made by Engineers, Blacksmiths require Arcanite that is purified by an Alchemist. By eliminating the middle man you eliminate dependency on other people as well as a quicker means of obtaining the resources you need.

Preparing for updates is just always a good rule of thumb in an mmorpg. Eventually they ll add hero levels and new 300+ recipes that will allow you to obtain higher level items. You can bet that these new additions will have a lot of requirements from other trade skills but given Blizzard s flare for non-cookie cutter gameplay, it may be hard to pinpoint exactly what will come. If you want to experience those new recipes and items first, I suggest you get your tradeskilling up to par and keep your ear to the ground as new updates arrive.

>>Though I am a big fan of tradeskills, not everyone may share this flare. However, a lot of players enjoy creating alternate characters and leveling them up to 30 and starting over again. You might as well play it efficiently and quickly gain resources and tradeskilling points by refining your tradeskills and untraining at a later time. Remember, you only have to be level 35 to get to 300 points on any tradeskill. Though the 225-300 range may require you to kill level 50+ mobs, you can still achieve 300 through alternate means. Just gather those resources and when you re ready to focus on your gameplay on a single character or many alternates, you ll be amazed at how much smoother the game gets when you have the best armor every level from tradeskilling.

Warshizzle's PvE Warrior Template (solo) (World of Warcraft pictures)

Hi, I've seen some of goose's templates and I've decided to share my own warrior PvE template.

For 2 handers

Arms Tree

Improved Heroic Strike rank 3/3

Improved Rend rank 3/3

Improved Charge rank 2/2

Tactical Mastery rank 5/5

Anger Management rank 1/1

Deep Wounds rank 3/3

Two-Handed Weapon Specialization rank 5/5

Impale rank 2/2

Axe Specialization 5/5 <— only if you have an axe, meaning dont take Sword or Mace spec if you're 2 handed, for reason scroll down

Fury Tree

Cruelty rank 5/5

Unbridled Wrath rank 5/5

Improved Cleave rank 3/3

Piercing Howl rank 1/1

Improved Battle Shout rank 5/5

Improved Execute rank 2/2

Enrage rank 5/5 <— only if you have not taken Axe Specialization

Death Wish rank 1/1

If you're 2 handed, there is no point in taking Sword/Mace Specialization since you hit slow and rarely will you stun anyone or get an extra attack. I would say avoid putting points in Specialization unless you have an Axe. Also you might want to take Sweeping Strikes (21 point talent in the Arms tree) instead of Death Wish.

For more information about the skills, search for them on www.thottbot.com or wow.allakhazam.com.

Dual-wield

Arms Tree

Improved Heroic Strike rank 3/3

Improved Rend rank 3/3

Improved Charge rank 2/2

Tactical Mastery rank 5/5

Improved Thunder Clap rank 1/3

Improved Overpower rank 1/2

Anger Management rank 1/1

Deep Wounds rank 3/3

Impale rank 2/2

Sweeping Strikes rank 1/1

Axe/Sword/Mace Specialization (depending what you have) rank 5/5

Fury Tree

Cruelty rank 5/5

Unbridled Wrath rank 5/5

Improved Cleave rank 3/3

Improved Battle Shout rank 5/5

Dual Wield Specialization rank 5/5

Improved Execute rank 2/2

If you have not taken one of the Specializations, I would suggest trying to spend the remaining points to fill Improved Overpowered, get Deathwish and Peircing Howl. You should then have 2 points left, spend them where you want.

Priests Guide To Killing Your Mobs the RIGHT Way (World of Warcraft priest guide)

Alright, I decided to write this little 'mini-guide' because I keep hearing about people having problems with priest.

Priest is honestly not a hard class to play if you know how to play it right.

This isnt a guide to go out and kill Onyxia solo, this is for the average fight you encounter wherever, knowing how to start a fight properly, and knowing how to react to a sudden attack.

This really only applies to Soloing.

I. Starting a fight: This is for the times when you see a mob and have time to set up an attack.

1.Preparation
a. First thing you do is make sure all of your buffs are in order, Power Word: Fortitude, Inner Fire, Etc.
b. Pop on Power Word: Shield. Alot of people make the mistake of putting on PW:S after youve already hit the mob with your pulling spell..this is WRONG…so dont do it. Instead, turn on PW:S and wait until you have about 15 seconds left on it before attacking. Most mobs take down your shield within 15 to 20 seconds, this way your mana will have time to recharge plus, by the time the mob takes down your shield, you'll be ready to pop on another one.

2. The Actual fight (first blow to last)
a. Many people start the fight with Mind Blast because it does the most damage and takes the longest to recharge, wrong. dont do it. Start the fight off with Smite…Yes you heard me, Smite. Nobody mentions smite in their guides because it takes FOREVER to cast. This is why you cast it in the beginning. The mob will then start rushing towards you. You want your second attack to be Mind Blast because you can cast it in the amount of time it takes the mob to get to you. From there you want to hit the mob with Shadow Word: Pain and start the DOT process. (If youre in a group, or taking damage at any point in the fight, cast Vampyric Embrace to get some health back)
b. So far your attacks should be (IN ORDER)
Smite
Mind Blast
Shadow Word: Pain
c. For the rest of the fight you want to cast in this order.
Mind Flay
Mind Flay
Mind Blast
Repeat.
And apply SW: Pain or PW:S again when necessary

II. Sudden attacks
1. Alot of the time youre going to get attacked by mobs that just spawned or ones that you didnt see. The outcome of this fight is dependant on reaction time…so the biggest tip is this. KNOW YOUR HOTKEYS. Quick reaction time can save you from certain death.
a. First things first, pop on Power Word: Shield. This thing should give you enough time to get the next couple of spells in.
b. Vampyric embrace, dont bother with Renew, Minor Heal, Flash Heal, or Heal, These take too long to cast and take up way too much mana. Rather regain health as youre attacking, your DOTs should bring you the amount of health that you need.
c. Shadow Word: Pain to start the DOT process.
d. From there just follow the steps in section 2 based on a normal fight.
Mind Blast
Mind Flay
Mind Flay
Mind Blast
Repeat.
And apply SW: Pain or PW:S again when necessary

This is really more of a guide to soloing than a group guide, its also entirely dependent on you being a shadow build.

PS: You cant cast Smite while in Shadow Form. Take that into account.

Warriors Leveling Guide (1-60) (World of Warcraft alliance race)

…. A Warriors Leveling Guide (1-60)

I've been reading all the threads here on (in the wow forums that is) for the last 6 months. Not many leveling guides or help for warriors and in fact a few threads asking for them. Well I tend to be a masochist in picking classes that I love but don't have any ups (faster traveling, free mounts, healing, etc) thats why I tend to play a warrior or a priest.

Now for those rolling a warrior from scratch, hopefully this guild will help. I will give you the horde point of view ( I hate alliance though I have played alliance chars up to 20 a few time but the basis is usually the same). Now I wrote this with the PVP player in mind so for PVE servers it will be much easier for you to level. In this guide you will also see a talent build to take what points to put in at what levels and when to respec for maximum efficiency.

When picking your race, it does not matter. It truly doesn't, in the end (PVP or PVE content) it comes down to skills. I will tell you I tend to pick an Orc, but any class has its ups and downs. Just pick what race you like.

Levels 1-6: Do all your quests in your starting zone. Its useful for rep and xp. When your done you should be level 5 so grind 6 away so you are more than prepared for the next zone.

Before you start your second zone go to the third, they tend to put quests in this zone for the second zone, so pick them all up and head to your second zone.

Level 7-11: Pick up all the quests and do them all. Not much thinking involved.

Levels 12-14: Third zone same thing here.

15-25: For horde you will be doing Silverpine, Crossroads then finish up in Stonetalon do quests. Stay away from grinding. Levels 19-23 do a couple of Wailing Caverns runs for some xp, quests and loot and if you want SFK and BFD.

Big keys: Always do chain quests. They always end (well, the majority of the time) with a great reward. Also if you are a solo type, stay away from orange quests or quests that you can't do fairly easily. Wait until they are yellow or green. Always dump a grey quest. Also don't spend your gold, save for your mount. And go into cooking and first aid and fishing get those and keep those as high as you can because its basically free healling and minimizes your down time.

Levels 26-37: Thousand Needles and Shimmering Flats. Stay away from the quests that tell you to go to another zone. Finish as many quests you want. Also run Gnomeragan and SM up to Cath.

38-44: Everyones favorite…..STV, hahaha. Pick up quests in Booty Bay then head to Grom'Gol, don't forget to pick up the FP at the top of the build to the far right. Pick up all the quests in Grom'gol and try to do them all. Do SM runs for some no brainer xp and good loot. YOU WILL GET GANKED (on a pvp server) SO LIVE WITH IT.

45-50: Tanaris and Felwood are your friends. Do all the quests there and run ZF a few times for loot and xp.

50-54: Finish up your Tanaris and Felwood quests and if you havent and do Un'Goro. Pick up all the quests there and do them. There are a lot of alliance/horde, however they tend to leave you alone because they are either doing quests themselves or farming mats. I do suggest to take a buddy though. Start running Sunken Temple. Great loot and xp and if you are a skinner plenty dragons to skin.

55-57: I put off WPL till you are a higher level because on PVP servers this is gank central for high levels. Do quests there and in Wintersprings and don't forget to equip your argent dawn trinket when in the plaguelands. Don't turn in the scourge stones till after you get honored with argent dawn. Try to run BRD to get attuned to molten core and make sure you pick up the quest from the dead dwarve which you can only pick up when you are dead yourself to get the shadow forge key. BRD is your first taste of end game instancing. Very good loot and xp as well (if you are in a good group).

58-60: EPL and Silithus questing. If you want grind away but make sure you are rested if not just quest away.

There you have it. The key to level is knowing the quests and doing them. Thottbot or allakhazam is your friend. Plus questing doesn't make you go insane like mindless grinding does.

Now for the talent choices…..

Levels 10-14: Cruelty (Crit is always good)
Levels 15-19: Unbridled Wrath (Gets you a lot of rage fast)
Levels 20-24: Improved Battle Shout (Ups your DPS)
Levels 25-29: Duel Wield Specialization (Ups your DPS again
Levels 30-32: Improved Rend (More damage)
Levels 33-34: Improved Heroic Stike (This will be your version of mortal strike or bloodthirst for the mean time use this and sunder armor always on mobs)
Levels 35-36: Improved Charge (Gets you more rage now)
Level 37: Improved Heroic Strike
Levels 38-39: Deflection (Not taking damage is always good)
Levels 40-42: Deep Wounds (More damge=execellent)
Levels 43-44: Improved Overpower (Critting on a rogue especially a night elf is fun)

When you hit level 45 you are going to respec.

Now what to respec at 45 to…..

Your will put 31 points into Fury:
5 in Cruelty
5 in Unbridled Wrath
5 in Improved Battle Shout
5 in Duel Wield Specialization
5 in Enrage
4 in Flurry
1 in Deathwish
and 1 in Bloodthirst

That leaves 5pts left what to put them in?

Put 5 in Anticipation from the defense tree….

wtf? why?

1pt of defense, and correct me if I am wrong or leaving out something gives you 0.4% chance to block, parry and dodge. With 5pts in anticipation it gives you 10 defense which in turn gives you 4% extra chance to block, parry and dodge.

Now I will suggest what else to put in up until level 59 so when you hit 60 you can put that last point in or respec.

Levels 46-47: Improved Beserker Rage
Levels 48-49: Improved Bloodrage
Levels 50-54: Deflection
Levels 55-59: Toughness
Level 60 if you wish: Piercing Howl, its great in BG

Crafting Fast best Way To Grind Crafting Professions (World of Warcraft 1.10)

Some have asked:

“What is the fastest way to grind X profession?”

I have a rather novel answer; the fastest way to grind any crafting profession is to wait until your level 40. Here’s why:

1. At lower levels you don’t have the resources to power thru anything. Yes you can gather a little ore, herbs and leather as your questing along and then you can use those resources to grind your way up to level 110 or so in your crafting profession… but you will soon find that you come to a screeching halt because you will either need resources that are beyond your skill to acquire or beyond your ability to procure them and survive. You will also find that most of the items you can make at the sub-artisan level are not worth the resources you created them with. You end up in a vicious cycle of questing to make money to grind a profession that is doing you no good – very inefficient.

2. You can’t train artisan until level 35, and Goodness knows you should be saving your pennies for your mount, it will change your life – seriously it will. Yes I know many players have alts and can fully fund their own grinding materials or have guilds that will provide them. But, you will come to a screeching halt when your level 10 dude cant train expert or your 20 dude is stuck at 225, the gateway to crafting greatness, for 15 more levels and cant train artisan. Here are the ranks for future reference:

Apprentice (1-75) Level 5
Journeyman (50-150) Level 10
Expert (125-225) Level 20
Artisan (200-300) Level 35

IMHO, lower level characters (level 40 and below) should concentrate all their efforts on questing, grinding and upgrading their equipment from the surplus of excellent, low priced gear on the Auction House or just using the quest rewards which are just fine for lower level combat. Sell everything and spend it on training and gear.

Ok Mr. Crafting genius, what should I do then?

I’m so glad you asked. At around level 30 I would pick up two gathering professions, skinning and mining or skinning and herbalism. Don’t try herbs and mining together because you can’t have both trackers running at the same time. Try to also decide what crafting profession you want to do so you know what to save and what to sell. For example, if you take herbs and skinning and you know you want to be an alchemist then bank the herbs and sell the leather. You should also do some homework, head for thottbot.com and look at the recipes and patterns listed there. Some are really easy and only require as little as one resource. Others are more complex and require multiple resources and sometimes crafted items from other professions. The trick is finding the low requirement items so you can level quickly and efficiently.

Now, you will have to spend maybe an hour (or two at the most) in a noob area (Elwynn Forest, Dun Morough or what ever that depressing Night Elf area is called) gathering low level stuff, but it will be easy because nothing in those areas can hurt you and you can quickly level up to 150 in both your gathering skills and you can bank full stacks of resources in preparation for the crafting skill you will pick up at level 40 or you can sell the stuff to help fund your level40 mount.

As you continue to grind thru your 30’s you will easily max your gathering skills simply by gathering stuff as you quest along. You will also learn where the resources you need spawn. The Gatherer mod leaves little icons on both the mini-map and the big map every time you harvest something, it makes for easy “harvesting runs” when you need to re-stock your stores. I highly recommend it.

When you finally hit level 40, you’re fully trained in your class skills and you have purchased your mount; you are now ready for a crafting profession. Drop the gathering skill that doesn’t correspond to your chosen crafting profession and go train novice. Run to the bank, grab your stockpiled resources and head back to the skill trainer. Depending on how much you gathered and how well you did your homework, you can now power thru your crafting profession. Use thottbot to find higher level trainers. You will slow down again at artisan level (225) but since your level 40+ now you are much better equipped to either go get the stuff you need to continue your ascent or raise the cash to buy your grinding supplies off the auction house. A few runs thru SM or an hour or two in Arathi will net you all you need to grind your way to the top of your profession.

But I want to be an Enchanter:

No problem, follow the same method. Above with the following changes:

At level 30 you will train herbalism and enchanting. Herbalism is going to be a supplemental cash source for you, sell everything you gather and disenchant every magic item you find that you can’t use yourself. Bank all the dusts, essences and shards you disenchant and don’t get tempted to start leveling your skills yet. Remember to combine the lesser essences into greater ones for storage purposes. IIRC you can level up to 100 just from disenchanting items, don’t smack me if I’m wrong about this it may only be 50. At level 40, you will clear out your bank and go train as high as you can with what you gathered in your 30’s. I suggest you buy (or save from your travels) a cheap bracer, 1h weapon, 2h hand weapon, shield and chest piece; keep them in your bank. These will be what you practice your chants on. From here you have a few options:

1. You can head to the the highest instance you can handle solo and hunt green items to disenchant – time consuming, but you should get xp and continue to level your class skills.
2. Buy enchanting supplies off the AH, expensive but faster
3. Be a leech and drain your guild mates dry, God knows they don’t need money or equipment to furter their adventuring and fund their mounts. Maybe one day you can pay them back with free chants – right! Every guild chanter I ever saw turned into a greedy bastige once he got high enough level to do me any good. It was either “I’m not chanting until I make level 35 because I won’t level” or “I’m broke at the moment so I can’t chant for free, I gotta charge you full price.” If you do leech, then don’t be a greedy bastige… return the graciousness you were shown even if it costs you a little. There is nothing better than calling out for help and getting 4 mates say… I’m there bud!

But, I wanna be a tailor! I live to sew!

You may say, “why should I wait?” Why shouldn’t I get started right away? Well, if you just have to start now, then be my guest but consider this. On my server:

Linen cloth sells for 25-35s/stack
Wool cloth sells for 40-70s/stack
Silk sells for around 50s/stack

That’s darn good money, especially for level 30’s and below. Your not going to make any money selling linen and wool bags in a developed economy (new servers are another story.) If you want to make bags you will be lucky to get 35s for a 10 slot small silk pack and there is no way your going make more than 40s for a stack worth of wool bags (your results may vary, don’t flame me with your whacked servers prices.) Just sell the tons and tons of cloth you will gather on your journey to level 40. Even better, make bandages! First aid is a great skill to have – it costs next to nothing to skill up in and you can’t have too many healing options in wow. Did I mention cooking? Oh, ill save that for another day. Wait till level 40, buy what you need to grind away the lower levels and then go hunt humanoids to get the mageweave and runecloth you need to make your sewing fantasies a reality. Oh and watch a lot of HGTV while you play, lots of handy sewing tips for you there too you tailor pansy!

Ok this is my opinion, its what I wish I would have done. It’s what I will do for my baby warlock (who will be an engineer) and my baby druid (who will be a leatherworker – whip it good!). If you feel differently, then get out there and show the world your crafting prowess (chicks dig crafters!)

Reputation Guide AB Reputation And Rewards (Warcraft mods)

The wow pvp system awards time and not skill, so if you don't have 12 hours a day for PVP'ing, going for exalted with one of the factions in the battlegrounds, will most likely get you better results gear-wise. The advantage of going for exalted with the BG factions is that your reputation gains aren't reliant on others, as it is with the PVP system, so you can gain rep when you want and it doesn't decay.

There are 3 battlegrounds; Alterac Valley (AV), Arathi Basin (AB) and Warsong Gulch (WG).

Arathi Basin
AB is (up to) 15 vs. 15 and is all about capping nodes and gathering resources from said nodes. There are 5 nodes on the map and the first side to 2000 points wins. The game is bracketed in the usual brackets from lvl 20 and up: (20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60). horde gain reputation with "The Forsaken Defilers" and alliance with "The League of Arathor".

Reputation is rewarded as follows (from wowwiki.com):

Quote: Quests, Reputation, and Other Rewards
Near each entrance is an NPC who gives quests related to Arathi Basin. One quest can be completed simply by participating in a certain number of Arathi Basin battles, and another requires you to win the battle.
Doing battle in Arathi Basin improves your reputation with The Defilers (horde) or The League of Arathor (alliance).
When your reputation reaches Friendly, you can purchase special items from a vendor NPC near the battleground entrance. Regardless of your reputation, you can always browse the special items, have your armor repaired, and sell items to the faction vendor.
Reputation rewards
Collecting multiples of 200 resources (at 200, 400, 600, …) = 10 rep (total 100 rep if you win)
Control Four Bases Quest = 800 rep
Win an AB Quest = 50 rep
On the Battlegrounds Holiday weekend for Arathi Basin, the Reputation rewards are:

Collecting multiples of 150 resources (at 150, 300, 450, …) = 10 rep (total 130 rep if you win)

Rewards

The rewards from being exalted with Defilers/League of Arathor are shoulders mostly, with a cape, a dagger and a staff thrown in the mix:

Shoulder armour
Highlander's Chain Pauldrons (hunter): Mail, 312 armour. +20 AGI, +18 STAM, +17 INT
Highlander's Epaulets (Priest, mage, warlock): Cloth, 185 armour. +18 STAM, +17 INT. Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 12. Restores 4 mana per 5 sec.
Highlander's Leather Spaulders (rogue, Druid): Leather, 258 armour. +12 AGI, +17 STAM, +12 INT. Equip: +30 Attack Power.
Highlander's Leather Spaulders (rogue, druid): Leather, 258 armour. +18 AGI, +17 STAM. Equip: +30 Attack Power.
Highlander's Lamellar Spaulders (Paladin): Plate, 553 armour. +18 STR, +17 AGI, +15 STAM, +10 INT.
Highlander's Plate Spaulders (Warrior, Paladin): +18 STR, +17 AGI, +20 STAM.

Back
Cloak of the honour guard: 50 armour. +5 AGI, +11 STAM. Equip: +34 attack power.

Weapons
Ironbark Staff: Staff, 136-243 damage, 3.4s, 55.8DPS. +19 STAM, +10 INT. Equip: Improves your chance to get a critical strike with spells by 2%. Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 41.
Sageclaw: Dagger, 46-96 damage, 1.7s, 41.7DPS. +8 STAM. Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 30. Improves your chance to get a critical strike with spells by 1%.

Other rewards at lower lvls of rep can be seen at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/basics/factions/arathi/index.html

And there you have it. AB games are fast, so you will need to run a lot of them, and you need to win to rep up at a decent rate. Now it's up to you if you want to dedicate the time to repping :)

The Darkmoon Faire And You–money Or Epic Necklace (Warcraft patch download)

His strategy revolves around the fair. Besides the trinkets though, there are a few juicy items you can get from the faire for turning stuff that appears to be low or no value to the uneducated. Either you are one wanting the neckalce or you are one wanting to exploit, er cash in on those wanting the necklace so here is what you need to know.

First goto goblin workshop and read their post on the Faire http://www.goblinworkshop.com/darkmoon-faire.html

Now that you have gone, looked at the items and wiped the drool from you keyboard here are tips on how to get the tickets:

You need 1200 tickets to get the epic neck piece from the fair.

Rumor is that you'll need to turn in your deck AFTER you get your neck piece or it messes up the faction earning, slowing you down but if you want your trinket then turn it in.

1) If you farm 130 Vibrant Plumes, it will earn you 312 Darkmoon tickets, 25% of the way towards your necklace. Harpies in Northern Ferales and inside Alterac Valley (the alliance Cave) drop these pretty well. After you turn in this many you can't turn in more so don't bother getting 500 to skip the next part–it wont work.

(MONEY HINT: Put these on the Auction House then in trade chat say "Working on Darkmoon Faire faction? Vibrant Plumes for sale on AH" Otherwise people don't look for it.)

2) You next need to hunt or have a skill that the darkmoon faire is interested in: Blacksmithing, Engineering, Leatherworking, or "I'm sorry you choose Herb/Alchemy go kill hundreds of spawns."

For the next 900 tickets, you'll need 10 bat eyes (Eastern Plaguelands), 10 glowing scorpid blood (Silithus), 6 thorium widgets (engineer and the recipe sells from guy in Orgimar for horde), 8 dense grinding stones (blacksmith) or 8 rugged armor kits for each batch of 20 tickets.

To turn in the widgets, stones, or kits you must be an engineer, blacksmith, or leatherworker. So if you didn't choose one of these professions then find a guide on how to level to 300 in one of them (I think engineering is the way to go myself) and reset a skill or start killing.

http://www.xs4all.nl/%7Ebrt/wow/guides/skillupenchanting.html (Go to this link then choose the guide from the right that you need).

Well how many of each do you need?
450 Evil Bat eyes or Glowing Scorpid Blood
810 Thorium Widgets
1600 Dense Stone
1600 Rugged Leather

Okay lets say you've done the math and you don't want the necklace. Wonderful–exploit instead. No one is gonna wanna make ALL of this stuff him/herself so you have a chance to put the ingredients or end items on the AH for some nice cash.

Watch the calendar and mark up your items (or ingredients) when the fair is coming round (may 10/11) and then advertise in trade window–faire is here, get your ticket loot in the AH!

Good luck with whichever route you choose.
