Old Ironforge! (World of Warcraft screenshots)

So, who wants to go to Old Ironforge? i just sent a group over yesterday, and it was well worth it, too. In order to get over, you need a warlock that can summon and a mage. The other three people can be any class. However, everyone must be level 60 and have thier epic mounts. Sorry.

First, go to the bank and face it. Jump up on the right column and go behind it and have all of the people in your group do the same. You need to start a duel. It may say 'You cannot duel here'. If it does, then just move around back there, and both who you are going to duel and you try to start the duel, its easier that way. You must duel the mage, you'll see why later on. Once the duel is started, get on your mount and ride through either the left or the righ passageways and go to the chamber with the King of Ironforge. Make sure you run to the very back of the room, or the duel will end. If it does, just start over.

Once you are in the back of the throne room, run up to ste spot where the ramp meets the platform to the left or right of you, depending which way you went. Now, from the king's point of view, you need to go to the right door in his chamber. The doors have large locks on them and are right next to the exit of the throne room. Now, run up aganst the door, get yourself in the center of the door, and try to run in place. Have the mage polymorph you (Polymorph: Pig will not work for this, must be sheep).

Hopefully, you will have crossed over into a hallway. do not move. turn around until you see a passageway, then walk straight. This may take some time to do, but it is do-able. Do the same for the other party members, and once there are 3 people, including the warlock, are over, have them summon you and the remaining party member. Have a nice time in Old Ironforge!

If you want to see old Ironforge but dont feel like going over, i took some pictures :D

Anything doesent work or any problems, please post on here telling what went wrong and ill try to post back with a soloution.

Have fun!

Find A Niche…fill It (World of Warcraft sounds)

As with most of my strategies, I look for "off the beaten path" type of money makers. This one is no diffrent.

We will call this one…

"Please feed the twinks."

Twinking is very popular right now with the hot spots being the 10-19 WSG and 20-29 WSG. This guide will focus on the 10-19 WSG twink crowd. Farming blues can be not only difficult because most useful ones are world drops but plain boring as hell. This guide will show you how to make it as painless as possible.

The Strat

By far the highest concentration of kick ass twink gear is found in Shadowfang Keep. Both caster and melee items that are BoE and in the 16-19 range can be found here off any of the trash mobs inside. The holy grail of twink weapons is the assassin's blade.
http://thottbot.com/?i=12802
Rogues wet themselves for one of these and will pay upwards of 150g for one. It's the single best dagger for that level and if you drop say firey (for the budget twinks) or crusader (the fat wallets) on it and you are a machine on par with the 20-29 crowd. That's why its so popular. Sadly, I GAVE this to a guildie before I became aware of it's value. I just figured it was a decent blue dagger and since I was a 60 rogue, didn't have any use for it.

Not a dagger rogue??? How about this 1 hand sword…
http://thottbot.com/?i=11366
Again, sword rogue heaven. This in your main with assassin's in your off…WOW!

But Cowboy, I'm not a rogue… /cry Fear not.
Here's is the warrior's version of the assassin's blade.
http://thottbot.com/?i=12599

I personally sold one of these for 60g. Gave the other to my warrior. Again, drop a crazy 300 level enchant on it ON TOP of the nice proc and you've got a death stick to be proud of.
Slightly lower in the food chain but still a nice proc is this.
http://thottbot.com/?i=11109
Another nice 2 hander for a warrior or a pally.

If for some reason you want to carry a shield (I dunno why) and need a heavy hitting 1 hander try this (also great for hunters).
http://thottbot.com/?i=11691
This is aonther one I've personally sold. I set the buyout at 35g and it went in less then 2 hours. Probably could have gotten more but oh well. Looks cool as hell too.

Casters kinda get the hose in SFK but there are a few nice BoEs for you guys too.

This is mainly for the stats and a lock would enjoy this much me thinks…
http://thottbot.com/?i=9069

Not exactly what you want in WSG but the intel is very high for the level.
http://thottbot.com/?i=11136
Yeah, that says NEGATIVE 5 stamina

That's ALOT of specific level blues in 1 place and all are BoE. The drop rates are low just like any blue item but the mob density and relative small size of the instance makes it much nicer then grinding world mobs hoping for a specific item. Also, if youre an enchanter, all the boss blues DE into large glowing shards which sell for about 1g. I average about 3-5 blues (BoP) per run and anywhere from 6-15 green drops that I can sell on the AH from 50s to 1g50s depending on the item. That means I'm making about 8-16g for around 30-45 minutes work. If a twink item drops then it's a whole diffrent story.

Good luck and happy twinking!

Leveling Being An Anything From 40-50 (Take 2) (Warcraft realm status)

Hi again folks,

K, first off, my blatant moan to get additional votes for my post :P

This may be the final guide in the series as though they seem to get an awful lot of use, I'm really not sure on whether or not people are finding them valuable. However the people that did read, vote and feedback on the last two tutorials have inspired me to write a third. This one's for you lot:

Being a (insert class here) from 40-50.

Ok, first of all, it's any class now, the reason I say that is because any class can solo in WoW if you have even a shred of skill with your class. If you didn't have that skill, you'd probably not have made it to 40 so I'm going to assume you can manage even level mobs one on one. To highlight this, when I wrote the first two guides, I was a hunter. I'm now also a warrior, and's had no trouble following this strat, even as a defensive specced tank, one of the worst (if not THE worst) soloists in the game.

We left our hunter/(class) bouncing around places like stranglethorn and gnomeregan, floating off to southsore and alterac now and again for maximump xp. Here's where to go from there (again, imho)…

Freshly dinged 40!

OK so you made it, well done, hitting 40 is almost like finishing a very long grind and quest. The quest for your mount. If you read the other threads on here you should also have the money for it by now but in case you dont, some quick tips are:

Sell resources, leather, ores, enchanting dust, herbs… it all sells pretty good on the AH.
KEEP! Those grey weaps that drop, even grey armour sells relatively well but weapons in particular are often more valuable than their green armour counterparts of the same level.
Dont be afraid to go farm for cash, a particularly good spot is Rock Elementals in Arathi, but it's farmed to hell so perhaps somewhere else is just as good for you. (I found the basilisk loot in STV quite valuable).

OK, that's enough about Mounts, once you've finished prancing around your chosen city in front of the AH on it, get your head together and prepare for what some might call a "real grind", having come from SWG to WoW I would question anyones definition of a grind in WoW but that's another matter.

One thing I will say about grinding, up until now, it was a choice whether you wanted to quest your way on through or do some grinding to speed your passage to the next level. From 40 on in, there's not so much of a choice, in order to level quickly you will HAVE to grind. To quest your way from 40-50 would probably require the completion of every quest in the game in this level range, and by the time you'd found and done them all, you'd have been 60 by grinding. Quest by all means, it's a good way to pick up nice items, but do your homework, if the quest reward sucks ass, or can't be used by you. The don't wate your time unless you really want to do the quest.

For some classes, level 40 brings with it some nice goodies, namely plate or mail armour, if you've been saving this stuff up for now, you're a clever monkey, go put it on, it'll help with the rest of this guide immensely.

40-43

For these first few levels you have a few options, varying in loot/xp and safety as you might expect, the best options I found were:

Scarlet Monastery - You may have already done it by now, but the experience gained in a round trip of SM is still pretty damn good at this level, and the loot off the bosses is not to be sniffed at either.

STV - If you've followed the last two guides then there's a good chance you're sick to death of this place, but even so, for the good ol grinder among us, here's some good choices for xp in this range:

Stranglethorn Tigresses (37/38)
Elder Mistvale Gorillas (40ish)

I pretty much exclusively killed these two types of creatures whenever I wasn't in the mood for an instance of questing. The xp is good and both have some drops that sell well, most notably the Coarse Gorilla Hairs which sell very well indeed.

With the added green/blue items dropping very occasionally, you should find them quite enjoyable, what's good about the gorillas in particular, is that they spawn fast in a relatively small area so grinding on them is easy.

On Hitting 43, there's one place that can't really be rivalled for experience, loot and general fun. It is of course:

Uldaman

This instance is a fairly straight forward affair with troggs and dwarves ruining what's otherwise quite a nice cave.

The noticeable difference of Uldaman over other instances, is that there are some of your first level 500 bosses thrown in for good fun. Namely the bosses Ironaya and Archaedas.

I'm not going to go into strategy on this dungeon as many will choose not to go, or wont be able to without a good group. Suffice to say, the levelling xp in an instanced dungeon is always going to be good.

If that's not your cup of tea here's my real top pick for xp at 43+

43-46

Wastewander pirates in Tanaris. It's as simple as that, these guys are ridiculously good for levelling. They range from 40-41 with the occasioanl 42/43 mage thrown in to keep you on your toes. You can pick up a quest in Gadgetzan to go kill them, and whats more you can keep on turning in their water pouches for 380xp a time. I was turning in 40 or so at the end of an evening which was paying out 3-4k experience on top of grind experience.

To add to this, these guys commonly drop mageweave meaning you can max up your first aid and minimise your down time whilst hunting here. They also drop "Moonberry Juice" pretty commonly, keeping all the people with Blue Bars happy with it's 1395 mana regen. They also very commonly drop scorpid leather patterns, with scorpid scales available in the same zone and tailoring supplies in gadgetzan. If you're a hunter leatherworker, you can come into Tanaris in Leather, and leave wearing full scorpid mail!

Furthermore… these pirate camps very commonly spawn treasure chests, they don't contain great stuff all the time, but I've had blues and green items from them with good success. I also have a good stock of Superior health potions and greater mana potions as a result of camping here.

Further still! These pirates are just a minute or two away from a Graveyard and a City so you can buy bullets, sell your loot and even rest overnight if you so wish to.

These reasons, should be enough to keep you killing here until you reach level 46. But where do you go then? The answer is simple…

46-50

More pirates. Yeh you heard me, just to the south east of the first batch of pirates you've so mercilessly slaughtered is a hidden cove. By now you may have already been in here to kill "Andre Firebeard", a bounty on his head can be gotten from Steamwheedle Port.

In this cove, you'll find 44-45 pirates and once again, the benefits from above can be applied, there's more xp more loot, more chests and best of all, these guys respawn real fast. Maybe 5 minutes on each mob max. By the time you've cleared all the way down to the fort, you've usually got the majority of them back up behind you again.

You can grind here perfectly, stopping to hand in loot is your only burden, and you could easily forego that if you were really wanting to gain xp. In just a few nights of hunting here I made an average of 20 gold a night and levelled extremely quickly.

This should keep you all going right on up to level 50 if you can keep your mind focsed on killing quickly and can stomach the grind.

Some nice deviations from this if you do get bored are:

40+:
STV, Scarlet Monastery, Alterac, Badlands
43+:
Uldaman, Alterac (Elite Ogres), Feralas,
46+:
"Dont deviate!" but if you must, Zul Farrak, Southern Tanaris, Parts of STV,

The grind is long and hard from 40-50 and will take even the hardest of players a few solid days of playing to acheive. You can probably grind the whole lot in around the 60 hour mark if you have the stomach for it, but not many can grind for so long.

Some handy pointers:

Sell your mageweave on the AH if you have stacks of 20, it sells fast and you can afford to sell it a little under the competition when you're getting it this easy.

Keep some "emergency" tools on you, Swiftness potions, Superior healing, Greater mana pots can all bail you out of some untimely deaths.

Pull! Use proper pulling tactics to ensure you fight only one enemy at a time.

Don't be afraid to run. It's quicker to run out of aggro range than it is to run back from the GY. Corpse runs can seriously affect your morale, making the rest of the grind harder.

Right, best of luck to you, may your grind be swift and painless.

As always, spelling is not my forte when typing at speed so if you spot anything terrible, correct below and I'll correct above.

Accelerated Leveling Guide Levels 1-40 (Buy World of Warcraft accounts)

Accelerated Leveling Guild for Alliance:

Purpose – I’ve often been asked how I level so quickly. One day you may see me at level 30, the next I could quite possibly be 35. One specific example is going from level 30 to 50 with my Main character in less than a two week period. Many people have asked me to write a quick leveling guide, so I decided to give it a shot. This guide is not for any specific class, but specifically aimed at the Alliance Faction.

Background/Experience – Level 60 Night Elf Rouge, Level 40~ Dwarf Hunter, Level 40~ Human Warrior, Level 40~ Night Elf Hunter, Level 40~ Gnome Mage. Every other class has been played to at least level 20, Most to 30~. As such, this guide will be as specific as possible up to the level 40 area, and more general knowledge afterwards.

General Ideas – We’ll start with a Night Elf, Dwarf or Gnome (Humans are boring but I have other reasons for this I will point out later). After Doing Starter quests and Intermediate quests we’ll move on to Elwynn Forest with a level advantage. This is where the actual guide begins. ALWAYS log out in an INN or a Major City for rested exp bonus. Try to get quests that are in the same area and Multiple quests with quest items that drop off of the same type mobs.

Levels (1-6) – I personally like using a Night Elf, Dwarf or Gnome. No Matter what Race you pick, Do ALL of the starter quests in your race’s starter area. You should not leave the starter area until you are minimum level 5, but I recommend staying until you are level 6 (That gets you all of your starter skills). I’m not going to go through all the starter quests here, if you need a guide for that you’ll need more help than I can provide you. Some reasons for staying in your starter area are 1.) to build your initial Reputation, so at level 40 you don’t have to worry if you have “Honor” to buy the mount for your Race. 2.) The quests will be that much easier when you move on to Elwynn Forest. Humans can follow this guide too, but will not enjoy the level advantage of the NE, Dwarf and Gnome.

Levels (6-10) – Intermediate Quests for Gnomes and Dwarves are in Dun Morogh, questing for Night Elves at this level is in Teldrassil. Again I won’t go into specifics on each quest here, This guide starts in Elwynn Forest. In general you should get to level 10 in four hours of /played time. The one thing that will help you more than anything else here are extra bags. At level 10 make your journey to Goldshire in Elwynn Forest.

Levels (10-13) – ELYWNN FOREST
Goldshire, Elywnn Forest. Here is where the meat of this guide kicks in and the secret sauce, if you will. Your going into this area with a level advantage over all the humanoids there, including 2 additional skill sets where they only have up to level 6, you have level 8 and level 10 skill sets. Get all of the quests in Goldshire: Kobold Candles, Gold Dust Exchange, The Fargodeep Mine (these are in the same area, but don’t do them yet). Go to the Stonefield Farm to the southwest of Goldshire and get the quests: Lost Necklace, Princess must Die. Go to the Maclure Vineyards to the east and speak with Billy Maclure outside of the barn about the lost necklace. He’ll tell you he wants a meat pie – kill the boars in the immediate area until you get the required amount of boar meat. Before you leave Maclure Vineyard go into the house on the east side of the farm and talk to Maybell Maclure, she’ll give you the quest “Young Lovers”. Go back to the Stonefield Farm to the West and turn in the Meat to get the Meat Pie for Billy, also go give the letter to Tommy Stonefield from Maybell Maclure. Tommy is to the west on the river bank, he’ll tell you to talk to his grandmother who will send you to talk to a guy in the Goldshire Inn – but don’t go there yet, just get the quest. Now, back to the Maclure Vineyards and give Billy the meat pie and you will get the quest “Goldtooth”. BAM!!!! This is the secret to accelerated leveling which basically just boils down to “Time Management” because now you go to the Fargodeep Mines which are between the Stonefield and Maclure farms. Go inside of the mine and demolish the entire area (remember you are doing a level 7-8 quest now at level 10 but still getting full quest exp even though it’s a breeze at this point) Inside this mine you will complete Gold Dust Exchange, Kobold Candles, Explore Fargodeep Mine AND Goldtooth. That’s FOUR quests in ONE shot. This is my basic strategy. Turn in all the quests and back in Goldshire you will now pick up quests for “Explore Jasperlode Mine, Collecting Kelp, A Fishy Peril, Further Concerns, Shipment to Stormwind ect. Now go to the immediate east of goldshire to Crystal Lake and get the Kelp for grandma, take it back to Pestle to make the potion and to back to Maclure farm to give it to Maybell, quest complete. Journey to the east on the road till you come to a bridge where Guard Thomas is. Turn in the quest from Marshal Dughan and he’ll ask you to find the bodies of two guards, the first one is straight up the river on the west side, right off the shore, the second one is in a Murloc camp. Don’t spend much time here just go get the bodies and go back to Thomas. Turn in the quest and he’ll give you follow up quests for Murloc Fins and also Protecting the Frontier (10 Prowlers and bears). Go into the Logging Camp and Talk with Sara Timberlin for the Red Linen Goods Quest and Raelan for Bundles of Trouble quest where you pick up wood piles scattered around the area. Humanoids that drop the red linen you need are in an island in the middle of the river/lake, Bears and Prowlers roam the same area around the river, northwest of the logging camp, and there is the Murloc camp where you get the Murloc Fins BAM!!!! Red Linen Goods, Bundle of Trouble, Murloc Fins, Protect the Frontier, Discover Rolf’s Fate. FIVE quests done AT THE SAME TIME. Again, Time Management. This is the KEY. Southwest to Brackwell Pumpkin Patch… go straight for Princess, ignore the two guard piglets, loot the ring and start running, the guard pigs will stop chasing. On the way back to Goldshire stop by Jasperlode mine and go in a few yards, quest complete. Back to Stonefield farm, turn in Princess and back to Goldshire to turn in Jasperlode… you just did 2 additional quests on your way back to town. At this time you should be level 12, go up to Stormwind and turn in the candles at the 2nd store inside of Stormwind, go to the dwarf district and turn in the quest for Loch Modan and get your skills from the trainer. You should have picked up the quest for Westbrook Garrison needs Help. Go to Westbrook Garrison and get the quest for the Gnoll armbands and Hogger which are just to the north of the garrison. At this point you should be able to solo Hogger. Turn in the quests at Westbrook and Goldshire and get the quest to go to Sentinel Hill in Westfall. Congratulations – Your done with Elywnn Forest in RECORD time. Again, it’s all about getting grouped quests in a common area with common mobs. Time Management.

Levels (13-16) – WESTFALL
Going into Westfall you should get quests at the first two NPCs then go to the house on the way to Sentinel Hill and finally to Sent Hill. At these three locations you should have picked up quests: Poor Old Blanchy, Patrolling Westfall, Goretusk Liver Pie, Red Leather Bandanas, The Forgotten Heirloom, Westfall Stew, The Killing Fields and Peoples Militia. Between the Jansen Stead and Furlbrow’s Pumpkin Farm area ALONE you can go back and forth, in that same area, and get Vulture Meat, Boar Liver and Snout, Harvest Reapers and Gnoll Camps are all around. The watch of Forgotten Heirloom is in the house just north of the farm on the stead and the Murloc eyes are just down the hill on the coast. Just West of the Stead is the Jangolode Mine where you’ll find the Smugglers and Trappers for the People Milita who also drop the Red Leather Bandanas!!! Don’t forget to pickup the bags of Oats that are laying around all three locations and before you know it you have Completed EIGHT QUESTS all at once… TIME MANAGEMENT. You will have most certainly leveled at this point, turn in at Sentinel Hill get the flight path and go to Stormwind to skill up. While there visit Baros Alexton in the Cathedral District and get the quest to find his Compass in his old house in Westfall, you should have Peoples Militia part 2 also. Go to the Alexton Farm in west Westfall for the Pillager’s and Looters. The compass is in a chest in the burnt down house south of the farm. Go turn these and your done for now with Westfall… we’ll be back here soon but now we’re off to Loch Modan.

Levels (16-18) – LOCH MODAN
After turning in the box you’ve had for several levels to Stormpike he’ll give you another quest for Silver Stream Mine. Don’t do it yet, first go to Thelsamar and get flight path in addition to other quests. By now you have the basic Idea… Getting Quests Involving same type mobs or mobs in the same area. Group them together to reduce the amount of times you go back and forth between same mobs and same area. It’s all about TIME MANAGEMENT. Something to remember is that after you leave Elywnn Forest that each area will have a level range and you’ll come to a point where the quests are too hard for your level. Don’t feel like you have to complete one area completely before you go to the next area. It will be necessary to move on to other areas then go back to ones you have been before. In Loch Modan, for instance, You’ll get a quest from Stompike for the Silver Stream Mine and also from Thelsamar you’ll get a quest for Silver Stream and additional quest for cooking ingredients which can ALL be found by Silver Stream. Get all these quests before you go there so you don’t make 3 separate trips… TIME MANAGEMENT.

Now that you get the general idea behind my technique (which should be common sense anyway), I’ll give you a breakdown of where I would quest and at what levels. I don’t think you need me to go through quest by quest, that’s what http://www.thottbot.com and http://wow.allakhazam.com are for.

Levels 1-6
Night Elves = Shadowglen
Gnomes & Dwarves = Coldridge Mountains
Humans = Northshire (but not recommended*)

Levels 6-10
Night Elves = Teldrassil
Gnomes & Dwarves = Dun Morogh
Humans = Elwynn Forest (but not recommended*)

*As human your going to be behind the leveling curve of the other three races and the quests are going to be harder… Plus they are boring.

Levels 10-13 = ELWYNN FOREST
(Detailed Above)

Levels 13-16 = WESTFALL
(Detailed Above)

Levels 16-18 = LOCH MODAN
(Everything from Thelsamar, Ironbands Excavation Site and the Farstrider Lodge… Don’t forget Bingles on the southeast side of Loch Modan Lake. SKIP Dark Threat Looms, Mercenaries and Wanted:Chok’sul for now – come back to those later.)

Levels 18-20 = LAKESHIRE
(There are several level 15-20 quests in Lakeshire, starting with the guard on the road to Elwynn Forest, The kid with the lost necklace on the pier, lost toolbox ect. Look for quests: The Baying of Gnolls, A Free Lunch, Assessing the Threat, Redridge Goulash, Murloc Bounty, Underbelly Scales, Price of Shoes… there are a ton of quest that you can do but SKIP WANTED:Lt Fangore, WANTED:Gath’ilzogg, Shadow Magic, Solomon’s Law, an Unwelcome Guest basically all the Elite and/or level 20+ quests.)

Levels 20-22 = WESTFALL, DEADMINES & LOCH MODAN 2
(Basically you left after the 2nd part of People’s Militia from westfall, now go do part 3 in the southern Mountains at Dagger Hills, that line of quest leads into the “messenger” and the escort of the Defias spy to locate the Deadmines entrance. Go to the top of Sentinal Hill and get the quest for Wool bandanas and don’t forget to get the quest for Sprocket at the Dwarven District. You should now have three quests for Deadmines. After Deadmines go back to Loch Modan and do Mercenaries, WANTED:Chok’sul and finally “A Dark Threat Looms” located on the middle of the bridge/dam at north Loch Modan.)

Levels 22-25 = DUSKWOOD
(Deliveries to Sven, Dusky Crab Cakes, Eight Legged Menaces, Four Legged Menaces, Ghost Hair Thread, Look to the Stars, Night Watch ect… Basically remember the underlined theory here – TIME MANAGEMENT. There are a lot of quests that are in the same area here if you can manage to get them all before you start, instead of going back and forth several times. Start in Darkshire, head west on the road and grab quest for Spiders, hit Jitters at south end of Raven Hill then Sven on the Northwest coast… head straight east for Abercrombie, then before doing those quest go back to the town for turn in and get follow up quest because dusty crab cake parts drop off of spiders which you need for Eight Legged Menaces.. Goul Ribs drop off of the Gouls which drop stuff for zombie juice (rot blossoms) and also Plauge Spreaders… That’s 3 quests in one, every quest ties into ATLEAST one or two other quests – TIME MANAGEMENT. Do every quest here including all but… SKIP the last Worgen in the woods, the last part of Stalvan, Mor’Ladim, Bride of the Embalmer, Last part of Morben’Fel and Last part of Look to the Stars.)

Levels 25-27 = LAKESHIRE 2
Back to Lakeshire for the quests we stopped at. Lt. Fangore, The Elites Thrail’zun & Gathil’zogg, Blackrock Champions and the Corpral Keeshan Escort Quest. Lakeshire should be totally complete at this stage.

Levels 27-30 = WETLANDS
Get all the quests in town, there is a guy in the front of the keep and a guy at the top floor of the keep, also on the way out of Menethil Harbor there is a guy on the bridge with quest. You should have Young Croclisk Skin, Digging through the ooze and on the way out the quest to find the excavation site. You’ll have a quest for Murlocs and the Murloc Boss “Gobbler” these should all be an ease at this level but remember your getting full exp reward. Order of quests here is: Murlocs, Young Croclisks, Sida’s Bag, Greenwarden which is in the greenbelt area approximately in the middle of Wetlands map. He’ll give you a quest to kill Gnolls which are to the south on the way to Loch Modan on the left side of the road before the exit out of Wetlands, kill those guys and go back to turn in to Greenwarden, get next quests for the Fire Taboo (Flints). Kill the Gnolls just west of the Greenwarden for those and go back to get the 3rd and last Greenwarder quest for the swamp elementals. ONLY then go back to Men. Harbor to turn in quests. On the way back to Men Harbor hit the Orc Camp for the Blood warbanners, and for the Excavation Site, First Raptors are by Menethil Harbor before you enter the town on the left side. Turn Sida’s bag, The Young Crocs and the Warbanners and first Murloc quest. You should get follow up quests for the 2nd Murloc quest (finding a statue in a crate at one of the murloc camps), Get LARGE Croclisk Skins just north of the Murloc camps, Also in this same area you’ll start to see the Elemental Swamp Creatures. Go back to the Excavation site and turn in quest and get 2nd raptor quest with the “Artifacts” quest. You can kill the 2nd types of Raptors while picking up the Artifacts (Fat Vase, Skinny Vase, Pile of Dirt and Tomb)… Turn those in right away and get the quest to kill the boss Raptor (non-elite). Further down the road fight your way back into the Orc Camp to the Catapults and use the quest item to burn them… this will give you the follow-up quest automatically for Nek’rosh, the boss orc. You WILL need a team for this. While in that same area turn in the final Greenwarden Quest. Before you leave wetlands you will do the Cursed Crew Line and the Dark Iron Wars Line last. You have to do Dark Iron Wars to get the Kam Deepfury Kill Quest in the Stocades.

Levels 30-32 = STOCKADES
Instance in Stormwind, you can actually do this quest earlier but if you want to do all SIX quests at the same time you’ll have to wait until you do Dark Iron Wars. And the theme of this guide is Effeciency. TIME MANAGEMENT. You only WANT to go one time. From the stockades it’s self you should have Quell the Uprising and Bazil Thread. From the old town in Stormwind you need to get the quest “The color of Blood.” From Lakeshire you should have “What comes around” from Darkshire you should have “Crime and Punishment” and Finally from Wetlands you should have “The Fury Runs Deep.”

Levels 22-30 = DUSKWOOD–WETLANDS–DUSKWOOD2–WETLANDS2
What this means is that you may level in duskwood to 23 and see that the next quest is a tad too hard and you should go to wetlands and do the easy quests til they become a “tad” to hard… you may make several trips back and forth between duskwood and wetlands, but you’ll find that you’ll save more time that way instead of trying to fight your way through the harder quests. Again, don’t feel like you have to finish all the quests in one area before you move to the next, YOU CAN ALWAYS GO BACK. Most of the time that turns out to be the most time efficient anyway. It is at this time, after the stockades, that you will go back to Darkshire and finish the quests you left – basically the level 30 plus elite quests: Mor’Ladim, Morbent Fel, Stalvan & the Last Part of the “Looking to the Stars”. Also if you have not done the last part of Worgen in the Woods.

Levels 32-34 = DESOLACE (NIJEL’S POINT) also HILLSBRAD
This is the time to make the hike to Nijel’s point. Make sure to get all the flight paths on the way. Also, before you go stop at the Ironforge explorer’s league for the Reagents Quest. Get the quests at Nijel’s point. You can only get one of the Centaur quests so pick “Strange Alliance” It’s an Easier line that Brutal Politics and you can do it at the same time as “Down the Scarlet Path” For quest specific information look it up on the websites mentioned above but basically you have to kill Demons in the Northeast, head a bit south for the first Centaur tribe for the Ears, Go west to a hut before the Kodo Graveyard and get the Kodo Bones Quest and inside the graveyard is a quest for Ghost-o-plasm in same area as “Down the Scarlet Path”. Continue northwest to the shore there is a lighthouse, at the base you’ll see another quest for scepter of light (remember that shipwreck quest… save it we’ll come back to it). Go to Thunder Fortress on the north side, on the road you’ll find the quest item by a broken down wagon. Go back up to Nijel’s Point to turn in the quests and get follow ups for Reageants and Vahlarriel’s Search. Also if your 34 by now you should to the 2nd floor of the Inn and get “Down The Scarlet Path” the pre-quest for Scarlet Monastery. Go back to Thunderaxe Fortress and do Vahlarriel’s Quest and Scepter of Light then go to the Kodo graveyard for Kodobones quest. Make sure you kill scorpian’s and Aged Kodo’s for the 2nd part of the Reagents Quest while your doing this. Turn in the Kodo Bones quest and go back to the Northwest Shore. On the shore to the south of the light house on the beach is a wrecked rowboat with quest item. You have to kill the lobsters and the Nagas for the two keys but before you go to the island, turn in the scepter because his follow up quest is on the same island!! TIME MANAGEMENT. After turning in that quest, off to the Skeletal Ravagers area. Kill the 30 Skeletons and also do the Ghost-o-plasm, go to the Kodo graveyard and turn in the Ghost-o-plasm then finally back up to Nijel’s Point to turn in remaining quests. The last part of Reagents is a lvl 40 quest that you can go back to.

Levels 34-36 = SHIMMERING FLATS
Yes you heard me. At the race track you can pick up SIX green/yellow quests. They are all “kill” quests and a pickup quest. If you go to the far east wall of shimmering flats the horde will never know you are there. The quests are CRAZY easy and you get hella experience from the kills. There is a kill scorpion quest for item, turtles for items, kill Baslisks, and Vultures, also there is a quest to pick auto parts up off the ground. THAT’S FIVE QUESTS ALL IN THE SAME AREA. Awesome easy exp. The sixth quest is to drop something off at Nessingwary in STV (stranglethorn valley).
DO NOT Pass this easy exp off. It’s well worth the journey and you can get Gagetztan Flight Path anyway so your definitely not wasting a trip.

Levels 36-40+ = STV & Scarlet Monastery
Start in Stranglethorn Valley (stv). Make sure to get all the quests in the Rebel Camp, Nessingwary’s Camp and Booty Bay. You can actually start in STV in the low 30s but the horde will eat you alive (literally). If you wait til level 35/36 the starting quests are easier, you still get full exp reward and you can defend yourself against oncoming horde (unless it’s level 60s there just to gank people – it happens). In between quests at STV you can do Scarlet Monastery runs. You should have atleast 2 quests for SM. Also if you feel your not quite ready for STV you can do some intermediate questing in Hillsbrad (also horde infested but not as bad as STV).

I may get more detailed on each area later… But this will have to do for now. Most of it is common sense, but I tried to drive a common theme. Do multiple quests in the same area involving the same type of mobs or multiple quest items that drop off the same type of mob. TIME MANAGEMENT and Efficiency is the Key to Accelerated Leveling. My mage is nearly level 37 with only a few days /played time. ENJOY.

Alliance Leveling Guide (Warcraft burning crusade)

Part 1

Northshire Valley Human Starting Grounds
Started : Level 1
Completed : Level 5

I chose a Human for my race of choice; I much prefer the lush green starting area of Elwynn Forest to the snow filled Coldridge Valley. If you chose to play a Gnome

[1] A Threat Within
Obtained from: Deputy Willem, Northshire Abbey
Objective: Speak with Marshal McBride
Reward: 40 XP!

When you enter the world as a freshly created Human, your first quest will literally be starting you in the face. Deputy Willem will be directly in front of you, and after conversing, will direct you to Marshal McBride, whom you will find just inside the building.

[2] Kobold Camp Cleanup
Obtained from: Marshal McBride, Northshire Abbey
Objective: Kill 10 Kobold Vermin
Reward: 170 XP

[2] Wolves Across the Border
Obtained from: Eagan Peltskinner, Northshire Abbey
Objective: Collect 8 pieces of Tough Wolf Meat
Reward: Cloth Boots or Leather Bracers and 170 XP

Once you have seen Marshal McBride inside the Abbey, head out and turn to your right. Follow the Abbey wall around and you will come across Eagan Peltskinner, he would like you to kill some wolves.

From there, if you turn around 180 degrees, you can t miss the wolves. To the right of the wolves you will find the Kobolds, you want the Vermin, not the Workers.
Warlock Trainers!

If you re playing a Warlock, you will most likely want to find your trainers and collect your Imp quest. One of the things that differs between the Undead Warlocks and the Human ones, is Undead can pretty much get their Imp at level one Humans have it a little more difficult.

To find your trainers, stand facing the steps of the building near where you entered the world, follow it around to the east (or turn right and follow the wall). Run past the White Stallion and into the graveyard beside it, there you will see three people standing at the back.

The man on the far left is Meritt Herrion and he gives you the quest to obtain your Imp. The man on the far right is Dane Winslow and after you complete the quest and receive your imp (along with level 5) you can see him about training your beloved first pet up with some added bonuses, speak to him earlier than that and he kindly tells you to 'Buzz Off'. The woman in the middle however, is the one you re interested in at this time her name is Druzille La Selle and she is your trainer and can help you with new spells.

If you need help completing your Imp quest, please see the guide at The Warlocks Den here.

[3] Investigate Echo Ridge
Obtained from: Marshal McBride, Northshire Abbey
Objective: Kill 10 Kobold Workers
Reward: 250 XP

After you hand in Kobold Camp Cleanup, you need to head back out to the Kobolds and this time, kill the Workers. They occupy the camps scattered around, but if you are having trouble finding them, head closer to the Mine. Once you have killed your 10, return to Marshal McBride.

[4] Skirmish at Echo Ridge
Obtained from: Marshal McBride, Northshire Abbey
Objective: Kill 12 Kobold Laborers
Reward: Cloth Gloves, Leather Belt or Mail Boots and 450 XP

You will find the Kobold Laborers inside the Echo Ridge Mine. Again I notice a difference between Horde and Alliance the Laborers in this mine still con Yellow, all the way to the end. On the Horde side, the same type of cave would have red con aggressive mobs.

Because of this though, Humans have the ability to run all the way to the end to look for a chest! Awesome!

[4] Brotherhood of Thieves
Obtained from: Deputy Willem, Northshire Abbey
Objective: Collect 12 Red Burlap Bandanas
Reward: Choice of weapons and 360 XP

After you gain a couple of levels, Deputy Willem, the man you saw when you first entered the zone, will give you a quest to rip the bandanas from the Defias. If you head South-East from the Abbey, you will come across a small stream. There is a bridge that will keep you from getting wet, or you can run across the shallow water. On the other side, you will find your Defias.

[4] Milly Osworth
Obtained from: Deputy Willem, Northshire Abbey
Objective: Speak with Milly Osworth
Reward: 35 XP

After you hand in your bandanas and collect the weapon of your choosing, you are sent to speak with Milly Osworth (as well as requested to collect the head of Garrick Padfoot). If you follow the outer wall of the Abbey around to the other side, you will find Milly standing beside a cart.

[4] Milly's Harvest
Obtained from: Milly Osworth, Northshire Abbey
Objective: Gather 8 crates of Milly's Harvest
Reward: 180 XP (plus 360 for the second step)

You will find the crates of Milly s Harvest scattered around the Northshire Vinyard, where you were just killing Defias. You are looking for lootable barrels.

[4] Bounty on Garrick Padfoot
Obtained from: Deputy Willem, Northshire Abbey
Objective: Kill Garrick Padfoot and bring his head to Deputy Willem
Reward: Cloth Pants or Cloak, or a Leather Chest piece and 340 XP

Just west of the Vineyard you will find Garrick Padfoot and his not so friendly sidekick. They are found standing in front of what looks to be an out door toilet, or perhaps a very cozy hut. You will get both when you pull them, so be prepared, although they are very easy to kill.

Once you have collected Milly s Harvest and Garrick s Head, make your way back to the Abbey to hand in. After handing in Milly s Harvest, you are directed to Brother Neals, you will find him at the very top of the Abbey.

[5] Report to Goldshire
Obtained from: Marshal McBride, Northshire Abbey
Objective: Take Marshal McBride's Documents to Marshal Dughan in Goldshire
Reward: A Shield and 230 XP

[5] Rest and Relaxation
Obtained from: Falkhaan Isenstrider, Northshire Abbey
Objective: Speak with Innkeeper Farley at the Lion's Pride Inn
Reward: Food or Drink and 110 XP

You are now done with Northshire Valley, booyah! Make your way south through the passage way and follow the path all the way to Goldshire! Don t forget to grab the delivery quest on your way through

Part 2

Goldshire
Started: Level 5
Completed: Level 11

If you ve left the newbie area and followed the path, you can t miss Goldshire; the path leads right too it. Here you will find an Inn to rest at and bind yourself to, most class trainers and a couple of profession ones. You will also find quests!

[7] The Fargodeep Mine
Obtained from: Marshal Dughan, Goldshire
Objective: Explore the Fargodeep Mine
Reward: 480 XP

This quest will become available to you after you hand in Marshal McBride's Documents for the Report to Goldshire quest. Before you run off though, be sure to see Remy Two Times located at the end of the path you are on, and William Pestle who is located inside the Goldshire Inn

[7] Gold Dust Exchange
Obtained from : Remmy Two Times , Goldshire
Objective : Collect 10 Gold Dust
Rewards : Bag of Marbles and 625 XP

[7] Kobold Candles
Obtained from : William Pestle, Goldshire Inn
Objective : Collect 8 Large Candles
Rewards : 5 x Glowing Wax Sticks and 480 XP

All three of these quests are completed in the same mine, located straight North of Goldshire. Getting there is easy, face Remy Two Times and run directly North. You will go over a dirt patch, or if the fair is in town, weave your way through the caravans. You should now be relatively close to a small cliff face, although I m not sure it can be called a cliff, I can t see you needing rock climbing gear to get back up. Anyway, you should be able to see a large hill straight in front of you, that is the hill the mine delves into.

Before we go running into the mine though, let s head off to your right to The Stonefield Farm and collect a couple more quests.

[6] Lost Necklace
Obtained from : Auntie Bernice Stonefield, The Stonefield Farm, Elwynn Forest
Objective : Speak with Billy Maclure
Rewards : 140 XP

The reason for the slight detour is there is a quest line that will also involve entering the Fargodeep Mine, and you can complete it at the same time as the above three. To find Billy, face south-east (more east than south) and run to the farm located on the other side of the mine; The Maclure Vineyard.

[6] Pie for Billy
Obtained from : Billy Maclure, The Maclure Vineyard, Elwynn Forest
Objective : Collect 4 Chunks of Boar Meat
Rewards : 410 XP

You will find Billy standing outside the bard at The Maclure Vineyard and he will feign any knowledge of a missing necklace that is until you mention pie. To get him to talk, kill the boars roaming around both farms until you collect 4 pieces of meat and head back over to Auntie Bernice to convert it into a pie.

Note: These boars can sometimes be a pain in the posterior in dropping the meat!

[6] Young Lovers
Obtained from : Maybell Maclure, The Maclure Vineyard, Elwynn Forest
Objective : Deliver Maybell s love letter
Rewards : 140 XP

While you are at the farm, head into the small hut and see Maybell. Hold onto her letter until we go back to see Auntie Bernice as Tommy is not far. You can also pick up Princess Must Die! when you get back to Auntie Bernice (if you ve dinged level 6) as we can do that later.

Hand in the boar meat and collect your pie. Before heading back to Billy though, face west and run across the farm to the river, there you will find Tommy.

[6] Speak with Gramma
Obtained from : Tommy Joe Stonefield, Elwynn Forest
Objective : Speak with Gramma Stonefield
Rewards : 140 XP

After you have handed in the letter from Maybell Maclure, Tommy asks you to speak to Gramma back at the Stonefield farm, she will help. You will find Gramma Stonefield inside the small hut that Auntie Bernice stands out the front of.

[8] Goldtooth
Obtained from : Maclure, The Maclure Vineyard, Elwynn Forest
Objective : Retrieve Bernice s Necklace
Rewards : Crappy leather gloves and 875 XP

Goldtooth is the mob that you will find inside the Fargodeep Mine, so now we re ready to head in. There are two entrances into the mine and if you are standing on the slope that leads down, between to the two farms, you should be able to see both of them.

The easiest route (I find) is to take the one on the right, the higher entrance. So head up the slope, be aware there will be a couple of mobs just inside the entrance. Once inside, you want to turn right and follow the tunnel around. You will come into a large open room, and if you take the closest left, at the bend at the end you will find Goldtooth.

When pulled, Goldtooth will usually come with one friend, but if you put your DoT s (if playing a Warlock) on both, you should have little trouble. If playing during a populated time of the day, you may even find other people in there killing so can group up if you feel you need it.

The dust and candles drop off the random mobs and you might even have all collected by the time you clear in and out of the cave. Once you are done, head back out of the Mine and back to Goldshire, stopping past Auntie Bernice to return the necklace.

[10] A Fishy Peril
Obtained from : Remmy Two Times , Goldshire
Objective : Talk to Marshal Dughan
Rewards : 85 XP

[10] Further Concerns
Obtained from : Marshal Dughan, Goldshire
Objective : Talk to Guard Thomas
Rewards : 420 XP

[10] The Jasperlode Mine
Obtained from : Marshal Dughan, Goldshire
Objective : Scout through Jasperlode Mine
Rewards : 3 silver 50 copper and 850 XP

[7] Shipment to Stormwind
Obtained from : William Pestle, Goldshire Inn
Objective : Deliver William s Shipment to Stormwind
Rewards : Choice of 15 x Explosive Rockets, 5 x Oil of Olaf or 2 x Lion s Strength plus 800 XP

[7] Collecting Kelp
Obtained from : William Pestle, Goldshire Inn
Objective : Collect 4 Crystal Kelp Fonds
Rewards : 320 XP

Those are all the quests I collected after handing in. First, I made my way up to Stormwind as I wanted to check the Auction House for some armor, from Goldshire, take the fork on the left. To deliver the Shipment, you head into Pestle s Apothecary, the second building on your left as you enter the city. I chose the rockets personally, boom, big badda boom!

After handing in the Shipment, I made my way back to Goldshire, or more precisely Crystal Lake. If you re standing in Goldshire and you look at your mini map, you should be able to see the start of the lake north east. The islands and east end are riddled with Murlocs and these vile creatures will drop the Crystal Kelp Fonds for William Pestle.

I had a really good drop rate with these, all four in just five mobs. Since I was still so close to Goldshire, I quickly ran back to hand in.

[7] The Escape
Obtained from : William Pestle, Goldshire Inn
Objective : Take the Invisibility Liquor to Maybell Maclure
Rewards : 800 XP

Maybell is back at The Maclure Vineyard, where Billy is. To get the quest out of my log, I made my way there to hand in. Once done, make your way back to the main path and follow it east. Eventually you should see a tower approaching on your left, the Tower of Azora. If you head north just before the tower, you will eventually come to Jasperlode Mine. Be aware there are a few wolves and bears between the mine and the path.

Once you locate the Mine, fight your way in. You only need to scout out the mine, and as such don t need to go very far in. As the mobs come singularly most times, this is a relatively easy quest. Once complete, make your way back to the path and continue east.

Eventually you will come across a small bridge and Guard Thomas standing beside it. Hand in Further Concerns and pick up the next step.

[10] Protect the Frontier
Obtained from : Guard Thomas, Elwynn Forest
Objective : Slay Prowlers and Forest Bears
Rewards : 2 x Lesser Healing Potions and 625 XP

[10] Finding the Lost Guards
Obtained from : Guard Thomas, Elwynn Forest
Objective : Search for the two lost guards
Rewards : 210 XP

[10] Discover Rolf s Fate
Obtained from : Half-chewed Remains (yes you read right..)
Objective : Search for signs of Rolf s death
Rewards : 420 XP

Once you have collected the quests, follow the river north, staying on the same side as Guard Thomas. Just after the waterfall, look to your left and discover your first guard sort of. Right clicking the remains on the ground will complete the first step, and give you the follow on, the search for Rolf. Face east and make your way across the water. Before we go searching for another body though, head down into Eastvale Logging Camp and pick up some quests.

Note: Location of the first body is 72,60 for those that utilize titan bar or other location information mods.

[9] Red Linen Goods
Obtained from : Sara Timberlain, Eastvale Logging Camp
Objective : Collect 6 Red Linen Bandana s
Rewards : Red Linen Shirt, Red Linen Sash and 775 XP

[9] A Bundle of Trouble
Obtained from : Supervisor Raelen, Eastvale Logging Camp
Objective : Collect 8 Bundles of WoodRewards : 775 XP

Heading north from Supervisor Raelen will lead you almost directly to Rolf s remains, located in the midst of Murlocs! You want to start killing your way in from the east (right hand) side. Once you can see Rolf s remains, starting clearing your way in, very carefully. This is one of the trickier quests you will do in this area, as both the murlocs loitering around the remains, as well as the ones at the hut just near it, will both be double pulls. It is doable solo, however it will require patience and perhaps a couple of runs.

Thankfully Eastvale Logging Camp has a graveyard it in, something I discovered very quickly.

While you re running around, keep your eyes on the base of the trees, there you will find the Bundles of wood you need. In amongst all the trees are the Prowlers and Young Forest Bears for you to kill, keeping it nice and easy to complete multiple quests at once.

Once you have completed the quest at Rolf s remains, collected the medallion to return to Guard Thomas, grab the rest of your Bundles of Wood and hand those in. Don t worry too much about the Young Forest Bears if you haven t completed your kill count, you will kill them as you come across them. Make your way back to Guard Thomas, hand in and then head across to Brackwell Pumpkin Patch. Here you will find the Defias Bandits to drop the Red Linen Bandanas!

Fun tip : If you re feeling hungry, mouse over the pumpkin patch and ride one!

[9] Princess Must Die
Obtained from : Ma Stonefield, Stonefield Farm
Objective : Kill Princess and take her Collar
Rewards : 13 Armor Cloth Boots and 775 XP

If you collected this quest while playing around in the Fargodeep Mine, you can complete it while gathering the Red Linen Bandanas. Wandering around Brackwell Pumpkin Patch is Princess and her entourage. Be aware before engaging her that all three pigs will agro. You can concentrate on Princess and then run (or die) to avoid killing the other two. Even if you die, you can usually make it back to Princess corpse to loot in time.

Just to the left of the Brackwell Pumpkin Patch is a few Young Forest Bears so I killed those to finish off Protect the Frontier before making my way back Eastvale Logging Camp to hand in (stopping past Guard Thomas). Once done there I hearthed back to the Goldshire Inn to hand in the other quests I had completed.

Note : Princess collar is handed in back at The Stonefield Farm.

After handing in I was left with just speak to and a delivery quest. I did ding level 10 however, and if you re a Warlock following this, it means it s time to obtain your Voidwalker. Have a look in the Pet Quest Guides section of this forum for a write up on the quest.

[10] Bounty on Murlocs
Obtained from : Guard Thomas, Elwynn Forest
Objective : Collect 8 Torn Murloc Fins
Rewards : Choice of Weapons and 850 XP

After training up, I ran all the way back down to Eastvale Logging Camp to hand in [10] Cloth and Leather Armor where I also picked up this quest from Guard Thomas. The Murlocs are where you went looking for the remains of Guard Rolf and have a much better drop rate than I remember.

Once I had collected my fins, I returned to Guard Thomas to hand in before making my way to the complete other end of the zone to see Deputy Rainer at the Westbrook Garrison.

[10] Riverpaw Gnoll Bounty
Obtained from : Deputy Rainer, Westbrook Garrison, Elwynn Forest
Objective : Collect 8 Painted Gnoll Armbands
Rewards : 850 XP

[11+] Wanted : Hogger
Obtained from : Wanted Posted beside Deputy Rainer
Objective : Kill Hogger and take his paw to Marshal Dughan
Rewards : ?? XP

You will notice the ?? XP reward listed under Hogger this is because I didn t complete this quest. Your first elite quest, Hogger is not someone you want to take on solo unless you re prepared and confident. At level 10, he is one tough cookie. If you are wanting to try your luck

For the Riverpaw Gnoll Bounty however, you want to head south from Deputy Rainer, across the path. Here you will find Riverpaw Outrunners, Runts etc they will drop your armbands. Voila, all done!

Part 3

Westfall

Started: Level 11
Completed: Level 14

Aah Westfall As dry and barren as it is, for some reason it s one of my favorite Alliance zones. By now I start to feel as if my character is starting to get somewhere, finally out of the newbie area of Elwynn Forest, a change of scenery in front of me.

You enter Westfall from the west most end of Elwynn Forest, just past the Westbrook Garrison and the area where Hogger and his gnolls inhabit. As you exit Elwynn Forest you will pass over a small bridge and have your surroundings turn from lush greens, to dry yellow and brown.
Westfall was all but destroyed by the rebel Defias Brotherhood and its demi-human minions, who could easily take control of the poorly defended farmlands. The Brotherhood, composed mainly of thieves and bandits, made Westfall their new refuge. Employing everything from local superstitions to sabotaging mechanical Harvest Golems, the Brotherhood stopped at nothing to scare away trespassers and protect their stolen treasures.

Only the People's Millitia, a volunteer military organization, rose to stand in their way, recruiting young heroes of the Alliance to strike back and regain what was stolen. This battle is still ongoing, and in the end, the only hope the people of Westfall has is to strike directly against the leaders of the Defias, in hiding somewhere deep below ground.

As you enter the zone you will immediately see Verna and Farmer Fulbrow, and if you were lucky enough to have Furlbrow's Deed drop while killing in Elwynn Forest, you can hand this into Farmer Fulbrow now.

[14] Poor Old Blanchy
Obtained from : Verna Furlbrow, The Jansen Stead, Westfall
Objective : Gather 8 Handfuls of Oats
Rewards : 9 Armor Cloak, 4 Slot bag and 1250 XP

[10] Westfall Stew
Obtained from : Verna Furlbrow, The Jansen Stead, Westfall
Objective : Deliver Verna s recipe to Salma Saldean.
Rewards : 420 XP
Be sure to also collect The Forgotten Heirloom while you are here, although you won t be attempting to complete it straight away. To start with, we are going to continue on our way to Sentinel Hill, the main focal point of the zone.

From The Furlbrows, continue along the path until you see it fork, from here you want to head almost straight south through the grass to the house you can see off in the distance. Inside you will find Salma Saldean who Verna wanted you to find. You can also collect a couple of other quests while you here

Note : Be sure to keep your eyes open, there will usually a sack of oats or two around the outskirts of this. You will find these scattered through out the zone.

[12] Gortusk Liver Pie
Obtained from : Salma Saldean, Saldean s Farm, Westfall
Objective : Collect 8 Goretusk Livers
Rewards : 3 Goretusk Pies, the recipe and 900 XP

[13] Westfall Stew
Obtained from : Salma Saldean, Saldean s Farm, Westfall
Objective : Gather the ingredients for Westfall Stew
Rewards : A variety of items as well as 900 XP

Both of these quests can be done while running around the zone and don t really need to be done in a particular area or in any order.
3 x Stringy Vulture Meat From Fleshripper s found all around the zone.
3 x Goretusk Snouts Drops from Goretusks, again all over the zone.
3 x Murloc Eyes Murlocs are found along the shore line
3 x Okra Drops from the Mechanical Harvesters.
Once you have collected your quests, face south and make your way towards the tower you should be able to see in the distance. Kill or dodge any mobs in your way. Sentinel Hill provides you with a flight path, merchants to sell up to and repair at (repair at the ones on the side of the road), an Inn to rest at and lots more quests!

[10] A Swift Message
Obtained from : Quartermaster Lewis, Sentinel Hill
Objective : Deliver Lewis' Note to the gryphon master
Rewards : 210 XP

If you are playing a Human character, you will be able to pick up this quest from the merchant located inside Sentinel Tower. The quest line is fairly easy to follow, take Lewi s note to the gryphon master at Sentinel Hill and then purchase a flight to Stormwind. Note that you must purchase the flight and not hearthstone back, this is part of the quest line

Once you land in Stormwind, make your way to the Old Town section of the city. As you enter from the Trade District, turn right and you should almost instantly see the yellow marker appear on your mini map outlining the whereabouts of Osric Strang. Once you have handed in that step, head back to the Stormwind Gryphon master, hand in and purchase a flight back to Westfall again you must take the flight.

Once back in Westfall, hand the final part back to Quartermaster Lewis. The total quest line yielded me 1890 XP.

[12] The People s Militia
Obtained from : Gryan Stoutmantle, Sentinel Hill, Westfall
Objective : Slay 15 Defias Trappers and 15 Smugglers
Rewards : 900 XP

[15] Red Leather Bandanas
Obtained from : Scout Galiaan, Sentinel Hill, Westfall
Objective : Retrieve 15 Red Leather Bandanas
Rewards : Choice of Cloak or Legs and 1050 XP

I decided to begin my real adventures with some Defias killing. If you head North out of Sentinel Hill, you ll come across a small patch of Defias Trappers and Smugglers, so feel free to stop and kill your way through that.

That one camp won t be enough to finish the quest, but if you continue north running between The Molsen and Saldean Farms, you will come across Jangolode Mine which has more than enough. You will most likely find more Smugglers inside, or you can hang around outside for safety and wait for respawn. All of them have a chance to drop the Red Leather Bandana s, however if you don t get all 15 by the time you have your kill count, don t worry, there will be many more Defias to kill!

[12] The Forgotten Heirloom
Obtained from : Farmer Furlbrow, The Jansen Stead, Westfall
Objective : Retrieve Furlbrow s Pocket Watch
Rewards : 10 Freshly Baked Bread, 10 Ice Cold Milk and 900 XP

Once you are done slaughtering Jangolode Mine, make your way north-east to Furlbrow s Pumpkin Farm. Inside the hut there (not the barn) you will find a closet. Inside that you will find Farmer Furlbrow s Pocket Watch. You will have one Defias guarding just outside the entrance, and usually another one inside. Along with the one inside however, you will also have Benny Blaanco who is level 15 and neither can be pulled separately.

You can try sneaking up outside the hut and trying to loot the closet through the wall, but there is still a very good chance you will agro both. Although level 15, he is not that hard to take down

[14] Patrolling Westfall
Obtained from : Captain Danuvin, Sentinel Hill, Westfall
Objective : Collect 8 Gnoll Paws
Rewards : 11 Armor Cloth Wristbands and 975 XP

Once you have collected your pocket watch, continue north to the cliffs that overlook the water. All along the cliff tops are little packs of Gnolls, and they drop paws you need to collect. If you head straight north from the farm and kill your way along the cliff edges to the east, you will come to where the paddocks meet the waters edge and Murlocs!

The Murlocs up this end are the lowest around and have a pretty good drop rate for the eyes you need in the Westfall Stew. While you are running around the zone, be sure to kill any Goretusks and Vultures for the other parts. Okra will drop from the mechanical golems later.

Once you have killed all your Defias, collected your Gnoll Paws and retrieved your pocket watch, make your way around handing in.

[14] The Peoples Militia
Obtained from : Gryan Stoutmantle, Sentinel Hill, Westfall
Objective : Slay 15 Defias Looters and 15 Pillagers
Rewards : 975 XP

The second step in the Defias killing follows onto Looters and Pillagers. There are two main places you can go - the Defias hangout Moonbrook, or the lesser known Gold Coast Quarry. Depending on the time of day, Moonbrook can sometimes be completely over run with other players.

Just like their relatives, these Defias will also drop the Red Leather Bandanas, and if you haven t already collected your 15, you will after this quest.

[15] The Killing Fields
Obtained from : Farmer Saldean, Saldeans Farm, Westfall
Objective : Slaughter 20 Harvest Watchers
Rewards : 2 Stamina 2 Spirit Robe and 1050 XP

Hopefully by now you re a level or two higher, and the Harvest Watchers are a little easier to take. These golems are all around the zone, with the lower level ones usually lurking in the hay piles, while the Watchers, the ones you need, roam the fields. I tend to bounce between Saldeans Farm, The Molsen Farm and Furlbrows Pumkpin Patch, all three have Watchers. If you fought at the Gold Coast Quarry for your Defias, there are also Watchers at Alexton Farmstead which is the area just near there.

The Golems will also drop the Okra you need for the Westfall Stew quest, which if you have been killing Goretusks and Vultures, you can hand in. The golems also drop Hops which you will want to hold onto (only 5) to hand in later on for a separate quest, and Flasks of Oil, which is for another quest again, so hold onto 5 of these too.

Note:
Harvest Watchers (and Golems) are mechanical creatures, and thus you can not drain any life from them (if you are a warlock). They are also immune to fear and taunt, which means your Voidwalker most likely won t be able to tank these for you. For these fights I recommend the Imp to help take them down as quickly as I could. I was surprised to find you can use drain soul and in fact yield a shard!

By now you should start to be running a little dry on Westfall quests, the ones remaining involving mobs a little too high to take at our level. At level 14 you can pick up the first quest that will eventually send you inside The Deadmines, the first instance Alliance see. You can pick it up from Gryan Stoutmantle at Sentinel Hill Westfall and follow the quest log, or read through the information under the Deadmines guide.

It s up to you if you complete it now or later, most pick up groups won t take players before level 17 or more. If you do decide to run around handing in now, feel free to take a look at the Lakeshire guide for the starting quests in that zone. If you re in the mood to run around, these can give you a nice boost to your XP. For now though, I m going to leave the remaining high level Westfall quests and make my way over to Loch Modan!

Additional Quests
Below are two quests that come from outside the normal quest givers in Westfall. Humble Beginnings comes from Stormwind more specifically the building to the right of the cathedral if you were facing it.

[15] Humble Beginnings
Obtained from : Baros Alexston, Cathedral Square, Stormwind City
Objective : Retrieve a simple compass
Rewards : 1050 XP

For the compass you need to head to Alexston Farmstead and into the burnt out hut there. The problem is the three defias pull right out the front, extremely difficult solo. Fear is your friend here along with any tricks you might have up your sleeve, potions, bombs etc.

[16] Sander's Hidden Treasure
Obtained from : Captain Sander's Treasure Map, Dropped Item
Objective : A Treasure Hunt
Rewards : 8 Slot Bag, Cloth Sash, Sander s stained Shirt and XP!

Obtaining this quest relies on luck or a lot of patience. The first step drops from the Murlocs along the beach. It doesn t appear to be level based as I had it drop from both the low level Murlocs while collecting my eyes, as well as the higher ones further south.

A fun quest, this sends you on a treasure hunt around the zone, stopping at different places to find more clues. The footlocker is the hardest of all the items to obtain as it s half buried in the sand surrounded by level 15 or so Murlocs some with pets! If you can complete this step however, the rest is simply running around.

That is mostly all that i can remember, I will edit if i can remember any more :)

Leveling Being An Anything From 50-60 (Take 2) (Warcraft epic mount)

Once again my login times out while writing and the post is blank so would appreciate it if one of you admin folks could delete the original ;)

Here's the guide

***

Welcome back fellow MPSers.

Been thinking this one over for a while now and finally decided that it would not be right to leave the guide series unfinished so without further ado, here's my guide for levelling any character to 60.

The Choice

Well, first of all you're faced with that age old question, do i grind or quest?

You're probably gonna need to do both to rack up the tremendous amounts of xp needed to hit 60. The last level alone is well over 200k xp. That said, there's smart quests and down right stupid quests. These are in short summarised as:

Smart

Kill Quests:
Always best for the xp you're going to need there's nothing more efficient than getting an xp bonus for grinding. The best ones are based near cities on mobs nearby in part of a series.

Instance Quests:
From 50-60 You will be visiting Maraudon, Sunken Temple, Black Rock Depths and maybe as ou get to the upper scale, LBRS. You're unlikely to get a group for Strat, Scholo or UBRS before level 60 unless you have a nice guild that will take you.

There's enough good loot to justify a few trips to all of the dungeons listed. The experience is good but as always, secondary to grinding.

Stupid

Any quest that involves an awful lot of travelling. You don't get xp for flying about on a gryphon so don't do these if you can avoid them.

Elite mobs quests outside dungeons. You'll know what I mean, if you have to kill same level elite mobs you're going to need a group, your xp will vanish and if the reward isn't bloody good, you wasted your time.

(For the purists out there, I'm well aware some if not all clases can solo an elite mob 3 or more levels above them, I've done it myself, but for levelling, it's totally counter productive.)

With that general premise under your belt you should also take the time to prepare a grinders toolkit ;)

Grinding Toolkit

This is different for every class but the ones that are generic are:

Quality Cooked Food - Don't waste too much time looking for it but if you can get it, great.
Bandages - The best possible bandages you can use on yourself, and plenty spare.
Potions - All manner of potions are available to increase your key stats, get some.
Healing Pots - Should never be used as a substitute for bandaging or eating, but can get you out of a death situation
Mana Pots - Same as above, for emergencies.
Swiftness Pots - A get out of jail free card, keep one handy wherever possible and dont be afraid to use them
Free Action potions - The same, if a mob roots or freezes you in some places, it can be game over, these prevent that so are a worthy addition, though you should never grind on mobs that can do this to you.
Sharpening Stones/Weight Stones - A must for any melee class, get the best ones you can, they stack with enchantments, but wont stack with Rogue Poison.

Enchantments.

These are a god send, you'll last a lot longer if you have enchants all over buffing every item, if you're not enchanted/modified from head to toe, put it on your "to do" list.

Weapon enchants are always a bone of contempt. At lvl 50 it's not worth going for Icy Chill, Crusader or anything fancy as the weapon will be gone soon and you wasted your money.

A good solid enchant for grinding is beastslayer, impact. Yep, the cheap ol red and blue glow stuff that goes cheap in AH. If you go beastslayer, your grind needs to be on animals, the other alternative is to have a Blacksmith enchant on your weapon, the only one really worth a damn is the weapon chain which is a bonus when fighting mobs that disarm, (remember those wastewander pirates do we?… annoying wasn't it?)

In any case, you see where I'm going, all of this stuff is relatively inexpensive at this level, you don't have to buy the best stuff you can get but anything that speeds your progress during a grind is a good thing. Get lots of it and use it as needed.

Early Fifties

Should be spent smashing up 47-50 mobs. A good spot for them is the Western Plaguelands. The area south of Andorhal is full of skeletons and zombies that are relatively easy to solo for all classes.

What's better, they drop Major Healing potions. Handy if you're a melee character. Furthermore, you can start working on your Argent Dawn faction here and get yourself up to a point where they vendor at Chillwind Camp will sell you "Enriched Manna Biscuits", these are one of the best sources of mana regeneration in the game. A nice addition to your kit ;)

You can go from 50-53 here if you're in the mood, if you're not good at taking even level mobs fast then another good spot is Tanaris where there is still a ton of 46-49 mobs floating around the South West part of the zone. The Ogres in the camps there are probably best as they dont run at low heatlh and the respawns are a good speed.

Some Quest Series to start on when your early Fifties should be:

Un Goro, every quest in this zone is relatively straight forward and worth doing for some good xp. The only exception is the Monkey quest with the robot which requires an inlaid mithril cylinder, theyre usually on the AH but the quest rewards are nothing special in any case.

UnGoro is a good spot and the power crystals you collect have a value to your kit later on when you use the pylons to turn them into Crystals that enhance you for 30 mins or so. These can be exceptionally handy.

The ChillWind Camp line is good and there's a lot of quests around which are easy to complete. The one to be careful of is the Cauldron series. The first one is not too challenging but the follow up Cauldron Quests are truly difficult to solo, even at high fifties and are not worth the effort.

Felwood has a series of quests that again are worth your time as they involve killing, especially the Jaedenar Satyr line of quests.

Once you're done with these quests you should hang around a while and grind the mobs for xp, when you get bored of it, go hand in the quest and move onto something else.

Mid fifties

This is where it stars to get mroe than a little tedious.

Blackrock Depths is doable and a good source of experience through the various related quests. Aside from this you'll be looking for 52-54 mobs to grind on some more.

The Skeletons and Zombies near Chillwind Camp were my favourite as they would go down easily and not cause too many problems with their diseases etc.

Close second were the Satyrs up North of Felwood, in the most North West point. If you have dual wield, get your weaps demonslay enchanted (odds are you have already cos it looks cool) and you will tear through these as your enchant often goes off in the fight, stunning and damaging the satyrs.

Another is the Firegut Ogres in Burning Steppes (A good spot for Miners) lots of closely packed low fifties ogres.

NOTE:

Some mobs have abilities that make them a real waste of time for grinding. A prime example would be the Pterrodax monsters in UnGoro, sure theyre the right level, they dont hit too hard but they have a surprise. They scream and fear you. Fear=not hitting, adds, hurt, more down time… bad.

If you come across a mob in your level range have a go, but if they pull a stunt on you that makes them bad news, don't stick about killing more, go and find something else.

Satyrs and Ghouls and Skeletons will take you to 55-56 pretty easily. At this point you should consider some of the end grind spots. Winterspring is a very popular one and contains a lot of kill quests.

You'll need to complete a furbolg kill quest to get faction to pass through the tunel at the northern end of felwood to get into WS but it's not too taxing.

If you're a warrior as I was, you can just say bollocks to them and run through with shield wall up toward the end. Might take you one death but its a lot quicker than working your faction.

Back to WS kill quests:

Personally I would skip the Chimera quests as they do a lot of damage before they go down making them impractical for grinding.

The best line is the Yeti line and the yeti caves are commonly found full of would-be grinders. If you can get the quests line and get in there, you'll find them good fun to kill and relatively easy for the level.

Furthermore there's a line of quests involving the nearby furbolg tribes. They're always fun to kill, it's a pity you can't stuff one and keep it.

If you like to grind, there's a sweet little spot south of Everlook down the path, as you go down there's a hill path to the left that leads to a little Moonkin/Owlkin patch tha'ts nicely populated. Theyre a dead easy kill and again, good xp.

An alternative to WS is Eastern Plaguelands where the Fordring quest line "Demon Dogs" etc is a very useful kill line that starts up the east bank of the river as you zone into EP.

In Summary:

50-53:
Tanaris if you want to be safe, Ogres in the South West range from 46-47
Jadefire Satyrs in Felwood 49-50
Western Plaguelands - Mobs range from 50-52
54-56:
Western Plaguelands again, the 50-52 mobs are so easy to kill that the xp flies…a bit.
Jadefire Hellcallers and co up in Norther Felwood - mobs range from 53-54
57-60!
Winterspring - Yetis, Wildkin/Moonkin whatever they are, Furbolgs, Sabers(If youre a leatherworker)
Blasted Lands - Ogres
Deadwind Pass - Ogres, a nice spot if you're looking for somewhere quiet.

Thats it.

Some Generic Tips

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

Pull!. Proper pulling will make the whle process much easier, lure mobs one by one wherever possible and fight them solo, if you get adds, conside whether it would be a better use of time to turn and run with a swiftness pot than stay and fight and suffer the downtime.

Pay attention!

When fighting use your left mouse button and mouse look all around you, if you're not in a safe spot, move the mob. Safe fighting is qucik and happy fighting.

Use your abilities!

Speaking from a warrior point of view - Retaliation is often forgotten in grinding but makes a nice boost once every 30 mins. Use it every time it pops, go for 3-4 mobs and stick it on with your 2h weap out.

For rogues you have all manner of abilities that serve a similar purpose.

Hunters should use Rapid Shot every time it's up

Mages - Evocation

Druids - Innervate

It's all bog standard stuff but some people forget to use it as their grind pattern does not need it. Build it in, saving these skills for an emergency is a waste of time, use them and escape the emergency with your toolkit.

Celebrating in Style

Once you get close, get ready to take a screen pic of the ding, take that last mob on bare fist and naked, do whatever ya like but praise the gods that your grind is over.

Now it's time to become a major loot whore and spend every night in Strat/Scholo/BRS trying to find all your tiered armour set drops. Good luck with that!

Thanks for reading, I hope the guides were useful in giving you some ideas on where to go and what to try.

I can go and have a rest knowing my bit for MPS is done ;)

Happy hunting, questing and grinding.

Faster Grinding: Priest (World of Warcraft cheats)

For grinding up a shadow priest (if you're going to go holy from the start don't bother grinding, run instances for your exp) stick to mobs about your lvl until you're around 40'ish then you can move up. You can kill mobs higher than you before that of course, but the xp/hour will be less. Green mobs are your friend.

Before you hit shadow form and have improved VE I would pull with mindblast, drpo a SW:P on the mob, shield, flay once or twice and then wand the rest of the way. With shadowform and imp VE I drop the PW:S (Power Word Shield) as it's incredibly mana ineffeciant and VE will top me off almost all the way during the course of every fight.

IMHO First Aid should be learned by every class and I have my first aid right up there as well, but I don't waste bandages during grinding sessions. Generally I'll sit down and eat some food when I have to drink every so often. Many of the higher level foods will give you nifty abilities such as increasing stam and spirit for 15 minutes if you spend 10 seconds eating it. I also love to have mages on the friends list that will drop me a stack of 80 conjured water as it saves on drink costs during long (10 hour+) grinding sessions.

When you're starting out wanding is a must and even at a higher level wanding is a must. When wanding you also get out of FSR (Five Second Rule) so you can begin regenerating mana quicker. When spirit tap kicks in it's almost as good as drinking. In addition your first wand should always be Lesser Magic Wand:

This is made by a low level enchanter, you can use it at lvl 5, and it pumps out 11.3 DPS (can be had for very cheap as well).

I ended up with Cookies Stiring Rod next ( http://thottbot.com/?i=6502 ) which is from the DeadMine but the Greater Magic Wand (again from an enchanter) is another wonderful wand: http://thottbot.com/?i=1318

Greater Magic Wand: lvl 13 and 17.5 damage per second
Cookies Stiring Rod: lvl 17 and 22.3 damage per second

After those wands there's not much you can get on the cheap from enchanters for wands, you'll be looking at green drops.

For pure grinding I like a good mix of int/spi but don't get too hung up in stats. Once you hit lvl 40 and get Shadowform everything becomes a lot more fun.

Warrior Macro Charge DURING Combat. (World of Warcraft install)

For all you warriors out there, might get nerfed in 1.12. Just copy and paste, and please try not to tell people out of mps, shh!

/script local i; CastShapeshiftForm(1); CastSpellByName("BloodRage"); CastSpellByName("Charge"); for i = 0,15 do if ( GetPlayerBuffTexture(i) == "Interface\Icons\Ability_Racial_BloodRage") then CancelPlayerBuff(i); end; end

What it does it makes you cast bloodrage, then it cancels bloodrage (now making you out of combat) and charges. YOU MUST SPAM IT though, like press it a lot of times quickly for it to go, not a problem though. One other thing it only of course works in pvp and not mobs, and if you are getting moonfire spammed it wont work because you only have a split second of being out of combat to charge, so basically anything else works.
